 Hi welcome to Bub Hub!
No good tips sorry maybe just don't give him the option of any of those foods- he wont starve himself (though he may try at first) so he will have to eat somthing else

Hi Lindsay

welcome to Bub Hub. Hmmm... have not encountered those problems yet with my DS (12 months in 6 days!). Maybe if you give him his own spoon and dish, he might be more interested in proper meals? If not, then just make a meal out of the stuff he likes so much...mix yogurt with different fruits, cheese on toast... maybe he's more interested in finger foods now. If so, give him strips of bread and pureed fruits or veggies to dip them into :)

Hope this helps. see you in the other threads.

Hi and welcome Lindsay

I have a fussy eater too! (ds1), try finding things that he likes and vary them a little, I also make fresh fruit and vege juices in the juicer and hide all manner of vege's, but he love's it!

Look forward to chatting with you more :)

Hey lindsay

I am having EXACTLY the same problem as you! DD was a great eater and now she's not having it at all. I've tried finger food, giving her a spoon, putting the spoon in her hand and then guiding it (worked once)!!

My only tip is cauliflour cheese - I tried that this evening and she ate the whole thing :smiliedance: . I felt like cheering!

Apparently its just a phase and :fingerscrossed: they grow out of it quick...

Good luck

Claire :)

Ummm...my mum tells me that I refused to eat anything other than vanilla ice cream for 6mths  I wouldn't eat it if it had fruit mixed into it either...so that's what I lived on, she said she tried offering me all kinds of food and I wouldn't eat them. I was a strange baby, we lived in New Zealand and it was winter when I went through that phase.
Now I hardly eat ice cream at all, but will try almost anything once

Thanks everyone, Glad we're not the only ones. He's abit better today, giving him a spoon and letting him get on with it, is helping loads and just walking away and being busy around him in the kitchen, he'll eat when i'm not looking over him. (well more than he was) The cough seems better also.

at least he is eating something. you could try giving him some formula just to help with the nutrients thing.

welcome bubhub and i hope he grows out of that phase soon.
