I always wrap my lamb roasts in foil and cook them pretty slowly. Last weekend I cooked a 1.9kg lamb leg at 180 for 3 hours, it couldn't have been more tender... I would do a 2.2kg leg at 180 for about 3.5 hours. Wrapping it completely in foil is key though, I have no idea about times or temps if you don't do that

That would be a pain :crying:. I love my lamb in the slow cooker.

This is the same as I use to do before I got a slow cooker.

Slow-roasted shoulder of lamb
4 sprigs rosemary
10 cloves garlic, peeled
3-4 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon sea salt
1 shoulder of lamb on the bone (about 2kg)
1 bunch medium-sized carrots
2 lemon quarters

Remove leaves from rosemary and place them in a blender with garlic, olive oil and salt. Process until ingredients are well combined. Rub mixture all over lamb and season with freshly ground black pepper. Set aside to rest while oven preheats to 200°C. Transfer shoulder to large roasting tin and place in oven. Roast for 15 minutes, then reduce temperature to 160°C. Keep oven door ajar for a minute to help reduce temperature. Cover lamb loosely with foil and roast for about 2 hours (for medium).

While lamb is cooking, trim and scrub carrots, halving any large ones lengthways. After lamb has been cooking for an hour, add carrots and lemon quarters to tin, placing them around lamb (but not under foil). When lamb is cooked, set aside to rest in a warm place for 10 minutes. Increase oven temperature to 180°C and finish off carrots while lamb is resting. Delicious with boiled peas that have been pounded with fresh mint. Serves 6

Only I never add the Lemon.

Have fun eating.
