Bub isn ow 6 months old and fully weaned from breast. When can I start wearing "normal" bras again? Also I tried some of my post preggy bras on - and there was no hope of getting boobs into them! Do they ever return back to the post preg size ?? :)

Do you mean pre-preg size? Yep, generally they do. But figure on several months to a year after weaning and the shape and/or size may have changed slightly compared to pre-preg so it's often worth getting your bra size/fit checked.

You can return to normal bras anytime you're comfortable in them. You might want to avoid underwire until your breastmilk has mostly dried up, since underwire (I think) can contribute to mastitis which you can still get after weaning as long as you're producing.

While your breasts are adjusting to whatever their final size will be try the bras from www.bodywise.com.au. I bought a few when I was weaning my daughter and they were supportive but flexible on the sizing so that as my breasts got smaller it wasn't such an issue. They don't have underwire so there are no mastitis dramas there either.

As for breasts returning to their previous size I can't help there - I got pregnant while weaning so they got smaller only for a few weeks then bigger again and I am still breastfeeding so have no idea what shape/size they will eventually be (apart from being pretty confident that saggy will be one of the descriptions that will apply!)

Thanks for the advice! Your comment of the following made me laugh out loud :)

Saggy does appear to be the prognosis for mine ! :D
