Yes start now. I am gonna get Ella a toothbrush aswell. She just got her 2nd tooth yesty.

I learnt from Connor that the younger you start the easier it would be!! :o

As soon as they get teeth. I wouldn't use toothpaste for a while yet. You could try a nice soft brush or you can get a silicon thing which goes over your finger. You can even use a piece of flannel or some other sort of soft cloth.

Start with them in the bath as soon as they get their first teeth, even if they just play with it at first.

We had a dentist visit our mothers group and she said you should start brushing as soon as their teeth appear. But don't use toothpaste just yet. This will keep the teeth clean and get your bubs used to having the toothbrush in her mouth.

My DD has also just got her first 2 teeth :smiliedance: I'm another who learnt the hard way that the earlier you start the easier it is...it just seemed like too much hassle when DS was a bub coz he had no teeth til he was 17mths, but now he is 3yrs old and still hates brushing his teeth

DD will be getting her teeth brushed at the same time as DS does his, well, as soon as I can see more than half her tooth (they are only about a quarter thru).

Have fun brushing bubs teeth :D

DS got a toothbrush when his first teeth came through (Around 5 1/2 months). He loves to play with it in the bath!! (I do the cleaning for him) :).
