Hi guys, I'm trying.. emphasise the word TRYING to figure out what brand of nappy to go for.. I like the look of Green kids but they do need boosters..
Question is - is there any reason why I couldnt just cut up my old Flannelette flats and use them as boosters?? (obviously they wont be as absorbent as bamboo) but for they would do the job wouldnt they?
I see that microfibre is apparently good at absorbing too.. any reason why I couldnt make my own to go with the Green Kids pockets?
No reason why you couldnt, but i dont know how absorbant they would be.
I use Green Kids bamboo/hemp boosters they are on the cheaper side and work well.
Good Luck.
if you are really looking for boosters on the cheap you can make them yourself. Flannel really isn't good though.. not just not as good as bamboo, really there is no comparison. Order some bamboo fleece/hemp online and make some. I have made some boosters with a sandwich of bamboo, microfibre (I use the cheap cleaning cloths cut up) and more bamboo all overlocked together.. great combo! making them yourself costs less than a few dollars each max.

hey ! i wouldnt recomend using the flats to make boosters as the amount of layers u would need to use to make it absorbant enough would make the nappy super bulky i would think !
but as Jag said above^^ they are easy to make :D
google nappiescovered and u will be able to buy bamboo fleece which is perfect for boosters :D
from memory 1/2 meter is about $12 ,which would make around 6 trifold boosters(wich are a double layer large square then folded into 3 and inserted into the pocket of the nappy)

I have to agree with everyone, You CAN make your own, but flannalette isnt really a good material to use. I brought some bamboo fleece to make my own (naughty me still hasnt done it lol)
