I'm a novice and bub has only been in cloth for 3 weeks but I found SmartyPants OSFM Pockets are great for overnight (10pm-7am) and I've had no leaks or blow outs. I do add an extra booster but for $17.00 they're pretty decent. Hopefully they continue to do the job :)

Green kids. I have three of them, they are great.
and i bought some from china for about $5 per nappy, they are okay for "dirty" play.

I have a BBH - I'm not actually looking more curious really. I have been checking out so many and there is such a variance in prices which got me thinking :)

Little Cheeky Pants - $12.50 each off ebay :) I have a couple, though they're quite low rise, I would say the large is comparable with the medium itti in sizing. But they come with an insert, booster & their own wet bag. She's closing down her store so they're $10 off what she normally sells them for.

And I've just found some cloth pulls ups for master 5 to wear to bed for $8.95 each at ecomumsandbubs!!

Bambooty, bought during a 2for1 sale (so $15 each) they are my workhorse. And they came with wetbags i use all the time. They r still pretty cheap at full price too.

To the OP - you read my mind.. I was just gunna post the very same question!

Olivia'smum.. what did you mean by baby beehinds dont suit your DD? Fit wise? My son is very skinny (2 years and only 10kg) so I'm wondering if BBH would be a good fit for him.. I've heard different brands fit kids different

Baby beehinds fitted bamboo. Yes they are a two part system that needs a cover. However, they fit from birth to toilet training and even when the elastic dies, they can still be used with a well fitting cover.

Same as BB, my DS is 18mths and 12kg and they fit him, very bulky (which i dont like) but i use them as a night nappy with a double Green Kids Bamboo insert. I havent had it leak yet, but we have only used them for about 2wks on and off for the nighttime.

Aaaaghh! I just dont know which to buy?

BBH cuz it has a good rep (from what I've read over the months) or Little Cheeky Pants as recommended by the OP cuz they are CHEAP off ebay atm and they look like they would dry quicker than the Magicalls by BBH??? OR Green kids... they are SOOOO cute!

I am only planning on using during the day so want to be able to get away with buying no more than 10 nappies and have them dry quickly.. the Little Cheeky Pants look are pockets so they should dry quicker than the magicalls shouldnt they????

Plus I dont wanna spend too much money, I just bought 6 off ebay from another seller (makes them from home) for $55 and they leaked after 5 minutes! The outer fabric (which is cotton, should it have been NON absorbant?) seems to absorb the moisture where it joins to the absorbant material from inside the nappy...

BBH do take a while to dry, but i turn mine inside out and hang it in the sun, it takes longer than the pocekts but not too much.

Maybe you should just buy a PUL cover for the naps you have at the moment, it sounds like they are fitted, and fitted naps need a waterproof cover. Might be cheaper than buying a whole new lot.

cotton outer nappies are prone to wicking.

my best bargain nappies are my dragonfly magik's. they cost 33.95 each but they are worth every penny. they fetch a really good price second hand. got to think about the resale value ladies :)

Ok so I've decided on BBH magicalls.. now I'm trying to decide on which ones, colours! The snaps in smooth are almost all sold out! Had no choice but to order them in orange.. but now I'm checkin out the minkee's for some different colours...

And which SIZE? DS is skinny as I said, 2 yrs old, 10kg.. I'm thinkin medium...
Man, why is this cloth thing So hard! SO hard to decide which ones

My DS is 18mths, 12kg and he is in a Large. He is skinnyish but has a pot belly, the snaps should overlap if the belly is too big.

ds is 10.5 and in large !...he is skinny too lol...but the nappy can be adjusted a bit smaller than he has it

go for large

I'm gonna complicate things here and give a different opinion. (tho you've decided sorry). If you can only buy a few and need quick dry you are probably better off with pockets or half of each. The BBHs take me 2 days to dry so you can only use them every 3rd day, that means you need 3 days worth of stock.

With pockets you can use the coves a half day after washing with spare inserts. Or use the dryer in an emergency. That means you need to buy much less nappies.

A half/half stash might give you the best of both worlds too.

I agree with varying your stash, for sure!

But magicalls are awesome :D They're the only thing that are firm against my DS' skin, without cutting off the circulation to his legs!!
