Crawling??

Even thou jake is only 6months alot of ppl have said he should be crawling by 7months im not worried i no he will in his own time i was just wondering wen other babies started to!

When I saw my DD's paediatrician at 6 mths, he said he wouldn't expect to see a baby crawling til 9mths at least. Having said that my DD started to crawl at 7.5mths. Each baby does it in his/her time. In my mums group, we have 2 babies at 11mths not crawling and one at 10 mths not crawling, however one at 11mths is walking, they each are so different. Try not to worry.

My DS started around 9 months, they all seem to crawl in their own good time. It is hard when people keep telling you he should be doing this or that - I just smile and switch off (hehe)

my bub started crawling around 6-7 months but then people pointed out how he crawled...he used to drag himself along :laughing: aand people would say oh he's not crawling properly:rolleyes: every bub is unique and different and i thought my bub looked very cute crawling:yes:

Hi Niki,

My bubba Kaitlyn commando crawled from about 6 months and then wasn't up on all fours until about 9 months. She is still showing absolutely no signs of walking and she will be one on 12th August. I don't mind though because I want her to grow up at her own rate. There is no urgency.

DD's been army crawling since 5 months, no real crawling yet (now 10mths), but since she is so efficient at the army crawl - so fast!!! I don't think she will even need to learn to crawl. Both DH and I skipped crawling as babies, went from bum-shuffling to walking:yes:

My older 2 were crawling at 6 1/2 mths.
My baby has just started crawling in the last week - he is 8mths.

about 8mths for all mine i think, but dd2 crawled with one foot one knee. they are all so different, there is a large range of normal.:)

DD is 9 1/2 months and no crawling action yet!

DS crawled at 7.5mths...he walked a week after his 1st birthday.

DD crawled a week off 7mths...that was about a month age so we'll have to wait and see when she walked.

They are all different :yes: ...my nephew crawled at 5mths and walked at 10.5mths...her best friends bub crawled on his first b'day and walked at 18mths.

DD1 crawled at 7.5 months. DD2 is 6.5mnths and gets grumpy just having tummy time. I also have a 7 yr old sister, she never crawled at all just went straight to walking.

my baby boy started crawling about 5mths i think. he is 8mths now and loves climbing on EVERYTHING!! including climbing up all of our stairs!!!!! but his cousin is about 4mths now and can hardly lift his head or roll let alone crawl. every baby is different

Errol is 5.5 mths and has been shuffling (as i call it) since 4 mths.

He started with his head on the ground and pushing with his legs, it looked so funny. He can now get up on all 4's, but if he wants to move he bends his arms, holds his hands and rocks until he shuffles forward.

I hope he crawls soon, he is so frustrated with not being able to get to where he wants quickly.
