Hello!
I think we may have timed sex/ ovulation well this month  BD'd last night (and two nights before that) and detected LH surge yesteday arvo. Can feel ov pains right now (Wed 5.50pm) hopefully there are some swimmers waiting for eggie. Also, I had endo removed 2 months ago... so I am much more likely to conceive now.

One question tho... how long does it take sperm to reach the fallopian tubes after intercourse?

Wish me luck!!!!:fingerscrossed:

umm - usually between 20 mins to 2 hrs .... but the egg moves pretty slowly ... is alive for a day or so as it moves down the fallopian tube. The egg will die within about 36 hrs after ovulation if not fertalised.

and also remember that swimmers live in that nice fertile ewcm for up to 5 days, so the ones from 2 days ago will be happily settled in too.

and it only takes 1 :D.

(if the egg IS fertalised, it will then take up to a week to move down the tube and implant ... when your body starts producing HCG and you get a BFP. Eggs move at different times, or are fertalised at different points of the fallopian tubes, which is why some people have high levels of hcg and get a BFP straight away and others take a much longer time)

KatiesMum.. Thanks for that info. It's good to know the sperm may still be alive from last night and the other day.
Sounds like I may in for a chance. Yay! :yelclap:
