Hi
I'm new to BH (can't believe I didn't find it sooner- I love it!) I'm 24 with a one year old daughter...
I don't have any friends with children and wonder if there are any like minded youngish mums out there in the inner west who are in same boat as me?
I guess I'd describe my self as an "attachment parent" in that I breast feed, "wear" my baby, co- sleep etc. I also do cloth nappies and am into leading a healthy lifestyle and yes, I'm a bit of a greeny :D
If there's anyone out there who fits this description, I'd love to have someone to chat to about mum stuff :)
Hi there!
I've also just joined the site! Have been searching the forums for a wee while but never bothered to participate until now!
I think that I fit your description nicely! My name is Lucy and I had my first daughter Evie in September and I don't have any friends in Sydney with young children either. I'm also breastfeeding and am loving the hug-a-bub sling! What a lifesaver! :)
I live in Glebe and I know that it's a busy time of year but I'd love to meet up for a coffee sometime or just chat online if we're both too busy until the new year.

Hi girls, maybe. I am 24 in Glebe, one son 2 and another due in 2 weeks time. I completely lost all my friends bit by bit over the last 2 years so would like to start getting to know other younger mums in the area, i think it could be good for me to start making connections w ppl who "get" the whole mummy thing.
Anyway respond if u want to, i don't know how to send emails to ppl on here but i'm sure i could work it out.
would be great if we could all meet up.
Shame it takes this much effort to make connections!! I think there is a young parents playgroup held at the school in Forest Lodge, have either of you checked that out?
Can't wait to meet you both :)

Lucy- nah I've never been to young mums play group at Forest Lodge. Might try it one day, DD is getting to play group age now.
Mystics- Sounds like we've got the beginnings of our own little group!
BTW to send a private message, just click on the name of the person, and the option to send an email comes up somewhere...

Hey Guys,... I am an AP'ish mum to 3 littlies,.and have just moved from Inner West to the BLue Mountains for a more 'natural' life for our kiddies.
However,.. There is a great service in the Inner West called the Magic Yellow Bus. It is a mobile playgroup that sets up in local parks providing kids with all sorts of free activities. Drawing,..painting...craft,...gross motor activities,..book reading,...arm painting,....aboriginal storytelling,.....singing and music,..etc,.etc,... On Tuesday it goes to McNeily Park in Marrickville, Wednesday it goes to Memorial Park in Camperdown (Newtown) and on Friday it goes to Johnston Park in Dulwich Hill,.. these days are filled with like minded AP mums. .... bring a picnic lunch and a rug,..and people are super friendly!
Also,...on Sundays, there is an organic market at Addison Rd, Marrickville,. it is another haunt for the AP mums in the area.
Hope that helps!
have fun!!
