In 2007 when i was pregnant with my son we were heding for our 12 week ultrasound. I have been getting some pain on my right side and the dr said it my be a cyst we will see how we go.

During the ultrasound the lady stopped and said we have something more important to look at then the baby. You have a mass on your appendix. They explained to me it may just be an infection or appenditis. Anyway they said you better go to the hospital and get it checked out.

I went to the hospital were i was going to have the baby and i stayed there over night. They couldnt help and they sent me to different hospital because it was suspected appenditits.
Once admitted to the next hospital after some scan they werent to sure on what it was either. They put me on anti-biotics for the night and said if the pain hadnt got any better they will take my appendix out the next day.
So they took out my appendix and i stayed in hospital for 3 days on the last day ready to go home, the Dr came into my room and said he had some bad news.
The mass on my appendix was two different tumors. At 22 and being told you ahd cancer wasnt nice. And they didnt even call my mum or husband in when they told me i was alone and in shock.

All i remember saying is WHY ME? And i rember the dr saying why does the sun come up everyday?

The conclusion was to finish and enjoy this pregnancyand they will do what they have to do after.
That was the hardest 6 months of my life trying to keep happy for my son inside but also not knowing if i had anymore cancer anywhere eles in my body.
Janurary 2008 our son was born and i was put in for scans and tests. I was all clear! YAY but i still have to go fro yearlt check ups for the next 5 years.

If we hadnt of gotten pregnant who knows what could of happend. I love you My Guardian Angel Tyson.

that is wonderful that u fought all of that off and expecially scince it has stayed away:yelclap:
my sister inlaw lost her long battle with cancer 3 years ago , she was 28 she left 4 beautiful children behind.
sometimes u do wonder why things happen to you so young too. i had endometriosis that usally affects ppl in there 40's i started showing symptoms at 13. when i was 18 one dr finally believed me and booked the operation.i had it and bad, durring the surgery he asked my dp for permission to give me historectomy he said NO. the dr said he didnt no how i had my son and that there was a great chance he would be my only child.that was in 2004.The pain has come back for almost a year (like dr said it would) because he couldnt get it all out. but i am pregnant agian and luckly pregnancy put it all at bay.

But sometimes i think we go through things because we end up coming out wiser and stronger and loving life and our children more

Both you lovely ladies are wonderful. There's a very good reason you are still here- you've both got wonderful children to care for!
