Hi,
as you know,we co-sleep with our son.Hes almost 9 months(oh where has time gone???)
DF wants to get him in his cot coz hes not sleeping well, and he needs his sleep for work.I say,I need sleep too but his response is that I can sleep during the day!
Rileys cot is in our room,so its not like hes miles away and DF said Riley can start off in cot, then come in to our bed when he has his first feed.
DF says he misses cuddling me.
The thing is that Im kinda torn about putting Riley in the cot.It would be nice to have more room in bed and cuddles alone with DF,but I just dont feel ready to let Riley sleep in cot.Like,he will be 1 soon and then he will be a lil man,not a baby ya know?
I just want to savour the time I have left with co-sleeping with a baby!!And it sounds silly, but Im really proud to be AP,and by stopping co-sleeping,its like Im not as AP.If that makes sense?:ecomcity: I dont even know.

I know what u mean about making the most of the time.
They are only babies for a short time - it goes too quickly.

I don't really have any advice.
bBut have you told df how you feel?

I know how you feel. It's so lovely that you appreciate the time you have with him while he is so little. have you tried 'sidecaring'? If you push the cot up against your side of the bed, without the side on, and adjust the height to your bed height, you can still have him within arms reach but it will give your DF more space and rest. It's best to put the cot between your side and the wall for extra safety. Good luck!:)

I'm facing the same thing at the moment- except my little man is 22 months- and my hubby got so sick of it at night that he's sleeping in another room. I feel bad about it- but I need my sleep as does he- and I'm not getting up anymore to two bubs (I have twins- one pretty much all the time night sleeper and one who wakes lots).

I'm thinking about rearranging our room so we have our bed and another bed next to each other so DH can come back and have space rather than being kicked in the head.

I hope you find a solution that suits you and your family

What if you put your mattress on the floor, with Riley's cot mattress on the floor next to it? Or have a bed for DF in another room, and when he gets woken up in the night he can go sleep there?!
It's not forever, and co-sleeping when they're little is definately worthwhile  You're doing great!
