What year will ur April- Dec 08 baby start kindy?

Do u think the change from April to june is better? children now must turn 4 before april insted of june to start kindy. Which means our kids will be 4 turning 5 in kindy and 5 turning 6 in prep.

Is everyone elses bubs on a waiting list for pre- school?

DD2 will start kindergarten in 2013 (she will be 4 turning 5).

She will start prep in 2014 (she will be 5 turning 6).

She was born in August, so will be one of the older kids in her class.

DD1 was born in June, so she is one of the younger ones in her class (she is in kindergarten this year and was 3 turning 4).

I'm not to sure about the new cut offs that came into play in 2007 (financial years instead of calander years), I know it is probably no different as there is always going to be a whole year worth of kids IYKWIM, just seeems strange that DD1 turns 4 and other kids a month later turn 5, and they are meant to be in the same class......

I'm in Queensland.

ETA: Sorry didn't answer one question, I have DD2 down on 2 wait lists for kindy in Brisbane, she was 6th or so on the list (this is about a year ago) so she will be fine.
