Hi Ladies,

Since I had a blast shopping for the Secret Baby shower I was wondering if anyone wanted to do a Secret Santa this year. I kind of hijacked the idea from the Cloth Nappy Discussion area but thought it might be fun.

Anyone interested?

Should we pick an amount and a send by date while we're waiting for others to pick up the thread? Is $20 + registered postage reasonable? (seems to be the lucky amount)? To avoid the Christmas postage rush should we send it by the first week of Dec or sooner?

Great idea Mk, I'm interested for sure - I thought the baby shower s/s was fun, although I am terrible at guessing

Yes Ma'am it is. But if people want to buy for the whole family (or just mum and bub) and can do that for $20 that could be an option too :laughing:

I'll leave entries open until 31st October and then PM everyone with their person and post the rules on Monday 2nd November.

Hi staceylee,

on 31st of Oct I'll get everyone to PM me their details along with baby's details (boy / girl) and any family preferences eg wooden toys only etc. Then on Nov 2 I'll draw names out of a hat and send each person their recipient with those details.
I hope I explained it okay. I'll post instructions in a week when everyone who wants to join has put their name in.:)

Just letting everyone know I'm closing entries tomorrow night and will send a PM form for your details for the name swap which I'll do on Monday.
if you're very popular in the inbox department please make sure there is some room on Friday night around 9pm.

I've just sent out a questionnaire to fill out (it's short, dont worry) and send back to me. I also need 1 more person to make it even so if anyone knows someone from Jul-Sept group who would like to join last min pls let me know.

Hi Ladies,

Just wanted to update you on why you haven't received your swapee yet.

We still have an uneven number of ladies participating so I am waiting on a reply. Whether I get it or not I will send everyone their swapee on Friday at the latest. I then thought if we have everyone post their gift on the 4th December (Friday) that gives us a month to look for a bargain gift. I'll remind everyone about registered post on the Monday prior to post deadline.

Sorry about the delay.

Thanks a very good question. I guess it's up to the person. I think I'd actually like to save mine until Christmas now that you mention it. Can go in with the rest of the Christmas presents. For those who want to open them when they get them feel free. I'll bump the thread after Christmas for those who want to wait.
