Hi Ladies, I'm here too! Officially started trying to be good yesterday, but after just getting home from the movies and being surrounded by that nasty stuff called popcorn, tommorrow I am definately 100% on board!

I have 6 kilo to lose to get back to my pre baby weight (and yes my little one is 2 1/2 so I have been real slack)..... so between now and christmas I am on board!

I lost 12 kilo a few years ago doing CSIRO, so I am back on that as soon as I buy my shopping tommorrow for it. so 71.8 with a goal of 65.8.....

TTC wise, we have been trying for over 2 years now, no known issues, one miscarriage at 5 weeks back in February, and on my last cycle of clomid (making a total of 8 cycles)

WE CAN DO IT!

Kimnus
20-10-2009, 20:23
I am also off to see a Natropath on saturday to help with TTC as i have to m/c and i guess i want a little support in that department.

I am also hoping that the Natropath will help with the little weight that i want to lose.

This will be a great support group for all those ladies that want to lose those extra kgs. And i am sure we can all do it together.

 Debi, you will definately get there with yoru determination honey!

Kimnus - I have been seeing a TCM guy for the past couple of cycles to try and help with the unexplained infertility. I am seeing him again on Friday so I might ask him if ACU can help at all with weightloss.

Does anyone know if its possible for ACU to help?

I would love to lose 7kg for at least christmas. That will make me about 75kg. I am not one of those people that don't want to look stick skinny i want to have curves which i have at the moment just want to get of the belly that i have...i want a baby belly not a fatty belly.

Count me in!!

I think 9kgs to shed by Chrismas will do me some good.

I weighed myself Monday morning, after having a bad case of gastro sunday. I had my wisdom teeth out today, so ive hardly eaten much at all.

On Monday i weighed 72.7kgs. Which is 1.6kgs less than about 3weeks ago, and i didnt even try.

My brother is off to Thailand for 11days on sunday so I will be borrowing his Wii and using my Wii fit i bought (dont get my Wii till xmas). And I will see how that work out goes.

We are TTC but not IYKWIM. We arent doing anything to stop it but hoping that it happens.

After a few m/c this year and chemical pregnancies I am just wanting to take the relax approached.

Here is lots of sticky :babydust2::babydust2::babydust2::babydust2: :wizard: for us all to share.

I have a wii fit and i love it, it makes losing weight fun, i also want to get the new wii fit that is out as i have done most of the activities on the old one.

I would really love to go with a gym but i don't really have a gym buddy as i work odd hours then my friends.

I dont work, so my biggest thing is trying to find things through the day that occupys me!!!! LOL!!!

doing the same journey yep crazy i tell ya but wouldnt have it any other way lol i started weight watchers yesty YAY US lol

Were you stalking my brains last night?????

WE CAN DO IT!

YES WE CAN!!!!

lost 10kgs so far but have a long way to go!! i have a wedding on the 12th of december and i want to be either 90kg or under so that is 8.8 kilos i need to lose!!

You have had a GREAT start!!! YAY for you!!!!!!! We will keep you going! Make you feel accountable!!!! :shame:

Does anyone know if its possible for ACU to help?

Absolutly!!! Yep, helps me in all sorts of ways! Mind you it could do sooooo much more if i was able to leave the needles in for longer. I hate the thought of having these needles sticking out of you!!! It doesnt hurt, i love getting tattos........that hurts!!! LOL But if your considering it, i would do it!

I would love to lose 7kg for at least christmas. That will make me about 75kg. I am not one of those people that don't want to look stick skinny i want to have curves which i have at the moment just want to get of the belly that i have...i want a baby belly not a fatty belly.

My WW book tells me that for my height i should be between 61-74kgs! ummmm if i got to 61kgs i would look SICK! Gross!!!! I have curves and boobs (big ones too) and i love them! I need them both to pull certain outfits off!!!! (and my hubby loves them too!!!)

So day 1 was hard! Hopefully tomorrow for me will be easier. I am going to go for a BIG walk tomorrow.........so i can have a yummy lunch with my girlfriends tomorrow!!!

After a few m/c this year and chemical pregnancies I am just wanting to take the relax approached.

Thats what i figure, anything to stop me from having more chemical pregnancies and M/C!!!! If weight loss is it, then, i will do it!!!

WOW You Go Girl!!!

You are making up for me laying on the couch in pain through my jaw. I have no energy I've had maybe 5.5hours sleep, thanks to sore jaw & dog not letting me sleep in.

I am try to pull the exercise bike out later. Surely that cant make my jaw hurt anymore.

This reminds me have to ask my brother about borrowing his Wii Fit.

Hope its a nice day where everyone is. From what I can see out the window its a beautiful day outside here.

Hey I'm TTC &TTLW and was thinking bout joining Weight Watchers online, Just wondering what you ladies that are goin to WW think of it and if it is really worth joining. I live over an hr away from the meeting I could go tho thats why i'm goin to do it online. I'm really over weight and need to drop over 40 kgs, it's just so hard I was on acai burn tablets they were working well but then I didn't get my next lot in the post so I stopped them I haven't put any weight back on since going off them I finally got my next 3 month supply but not really sure if they are good to take while TTC so I haven't started back on them. I was on some shakes too but I hate the taste of them and I still feel hungry after them. so this is my next thing to try.

This is a great thread and I hopw we can support each other along the way and hope to see some :bfp: very soon

Thanks Lira

Can I join too?? I have added my details - hope that is right!??!

What a great thread, it's great to have a support group & also a good sidetrack from TTC.

I was about 82kg before my wedding last year & I maintained that for most of this year. Then in August all my sports finished & I went on a couple of weeks holidays & pretty much ate & drank what I wanted & did no exercise for about 2 months

I've actually lost about 500grams since last week so I figure if I lose 500gms each week til Xmas thats about 4.5kg.

Started walking/running on the weekend which I really enjoyed except for shin splints. And the touch footy season starts tonight so this will ease me into a proper routine (I hope!!)

Looking forward to sharing this new challenge with like minded ladies.

Enjoy your day :flowerz:

Hi everyone been TTC for just about 18months with 7 cycles of clomid and about to start IVF in 2 days. I lost 18kg with WW since Jan but on 5 in the last two months so time to get back on track and making excuses. Sticking to my points beautifully today so will make sure I keep it up.

Ains - Did you experience a lot of bloating or fluid retention with IVF particularly once follicles start growing? I might be a bit scared to weigh in for a few weeks in case the scale weight puts me off but will definitely let you all know that im staying on track and will be brave and weigh in when not feeling to swollen in the stomach.

Just thought I'd pop in and say I still haven't moved off the couch. I am in too much pain. I want to have a sleep but i cant cause it hurts my face to lay on my side, yet i cant get to sleep on my back.

I am thinking of having a shower & going down to the local shops & just walk around there for a while to kill some time & take me mind off the pain.

At least I'd be doing something active and walking around.

Finally spoke to my brother & its all go ahead with the Wii. So Wii Fit here I came as of Sunday. I cant wait. I hope it really does work.

Hi Ladies

Hope you don't mind me joining this thread!

My weight has gone up and down since I got married in November, I was 68kg on my wedding day and 72kg when I got back from my honeymoon day 2 weeks later, after a year of dieting for the wedding, I didn't want to deny myself in Fiji :)

My weight has been yo-yo'ing all year and the stresses of TTC has definately not helped! Have been TTC for 10 mths and also have PCOS so another reason to lose the kgs and keep it off !

I definately think this could be the motivation I need to finalise lose and keep off the weight!

Currently walk the dog for 30mins every day and need to dust off the Wii fit as well! Trying to eat healthy and not treat it like a 'diet' this time around.

I am a walker of 2 Jack Russell dogs - so very fast walking and I try and do at least 2 hours of Wii Fit each week...so far so good!

I am going to be setting up a fitness program when I get the Wii Fit.

I think it is 9weeks 2 days till xmas.

So I will weigh myself in 2 days and take that from my starting weight. I am sure its going to be different from Monday. Although I haven't eaten much the past few days but I have also been sore & have spent most of the time on the couch.

Today I ended up going down the shops this afternoon and walked around for half an hour carrying 2 heavy bags.

So that was todays exercise.... LOL not that it really counts.

Kimnus
21-10-2009, 18:52

fox_girl

It doesnt help when my arms are sore and my abs and below my boobs are sore as. It feels like i have done a million situps.

We arent sure its from the other day when i was :barf: and the other end with gastro. Or if they did something when I was under the GA yesterday getting my wisdom teeth out. People have said the surgeons sometimes put pressure on your chest & shoulders etc to help get the teeth out!! All i know is it is sooo sore!!!

For those who use a Wii Fit how often do you use it? ANd for how long???

Thanks

Kimnus
21-10-2009, 19:12

i do the wii fit for an hour every first day and half hour every 2nd as i go for a 30min to an hour long bike ride. I generally do 20mins of yoga/muscle training and then 40 mins of aerobics love the rhythmic boxing, but the 10 min super hula hoop god that gives the stomach muscles a good workout.

Hi girls i really need this, i was a about to throw in the towel and give up on this ttc business yesterday when af showed her fat face, so this is just what i need to get my mind off it. 15 months of TTC now im getting over it!

I was 47kg in Jan when i got pregnant (but later MC) and now im about 54. I have put in 7 kgs by comfort eating with each un-successful cycle. (im only 5ft and small frame hence the low weight)

My goal is not really what i weigh but to get rid of the unhealthy belly fat. I lost weight last year after Dr put me on a diet for high cholesterol but i have strayed off that and gained again. I guess ill be looking at being about 48 by xmas or just to fit into my jeans at least.

I run alot and have been exercising all year and have still gained the weight (i have been eating ALOT though)

yesterday i walked 5 k and ran 9 k with the dog. Off to the gym now for 30 min run and body combat class. I love classes at the gym its a great way to exercise if you dont have a gym buddy!

ringneck- i was always told its not good to weigh urself everyday as everyday is a different reading some days can be higher or lower then others i was always told to pick one day of the week and at certain time weigh urself and thats when u weigh urself everyweek and always use the same scales as no 2 scales are the same.... First game, we lost & had one of the associations worst ref's (what can you do!?!) but I did get a try. And oh man I was pooped, feeling a bit  today. BUt it was great to do some fast paced exercise.

So I'm going to have a rest day today & do a run/walk tomorrow after work.

I weigh myself each Thursday so from last to this week lost only 400gm (was 500 yesterday) but I did have a couple of little chocs yesterday.
Had hardly any water yesterday so will try & up that today.

Logiesmummy - doing the exercise & keeping yourself busy might get some :smiliedance: endorphins happening for you.

Ringneck - I also think maybe just weighing once a week is sufficient. I've heard one con of weighing everyday is that your weight can fluctuate so much & it may lead to more disappointments if it does go up. But each to their own. Either way you are doing well!

Yay everyone else for a SUPER start to our challenge!

Have a great day :flowerz:

Well, what a chatty bunch we are!!! Love the support!!!!! Today is not such a good excersize day, but a MUCH better food day. I have a really sore tummy, cramping, like i have eaten something bad.......but i havent!!!!

I went down and did a food shop and my fridge, freezer and cupboard is FULL of WW foods and snacks!!!! :D DH has no idea about me doing WW so it should be interesting to see what he notices!!! ;)

I go tomorrow to have a blood test to see if i Ovulated...........so i am pretty nervous for that. If i did, i have EVERY chance of falling preg, but if not, then we are going to do 1 round of clomid and then back to IVF!

Oh also, i need some advice, i am going to a party on saturday night, then a function after, and do you think its crazy to eat vegies and "free point" foods so i can drink alcohol??? LOL! I want to drink, have a good night, party, dance........but not be tooooooo drunk, or hungry!

riss
22-10-2009, 14:32
Well I am definately one of the :ecomcity: ones! My 'short' posts always end up very long for some reason

Ains I would definately eat lots of free foods to allow for some alcohol - I've done WW on various occasions & have read that this is ok to do every now & again. And the trick is to allow yourself these naughty times so you won't feel deprived. Go for it!!

I am also having the O BT next Wed - I guess there is a few days wait for the results? I'm getting them to do all the other stuff at the same time too - iron, folate, thyroid...
Good luck!

:thumbsup:good luck for ur test tomorrow i have my fingers and toes crossed for u:fingerscrossed:

and to answer ur advice its called saving points and its totally ok for example say u got a birthday coming up and u want to drink and eat what other ppl eat during the week u save up points weather it be 3 points to all ur points then when the party comes u got the freedom to eat or drink that lil bit extra if that makes sense one thing the leaders say is the saved points are only valid for that week they do not roll over... i hope that answers ur question not sure if it was much help

and i too would be another chatty one haha:ecomcity: my dp says i could talk with a mouth full of wet cement  how lovely of him...

well i just golt back from my hour walk damn im loving this heat hopefully ill sweat the fat away eww that sounds kinda gross.... well im just sitting here doing abit of finger exercise in the forum then off to get the kids ready tea bath p.js BED... so i can have some me time and get back on bike and do some more weights.... hope everyone had a fantastic day all this water im drinking makes me go wee wee way to much lol i manage to drink 2lt but damn its hard its pretty much the only thing i drink oh plus my weight loss tea hmm wonder if i could add my water intake from that  or maybe it has to be just plain water grr who knows well u prob getting sick of my post by now so ill pop by later hope everyone is GREAT....

I am loving all the support we are giving to each other to help us stay motivated.

Welcome to all the newbie that have joined this awesome group.

Well i have roped my sister in to become my exercise buddy and she is all for it! I cant wait to see those kgs slide off me.

Did a fair amount of running around today at work then walked around the shops for 2 hours with DH and we have a few social events coming up and we need some thing fancy to wear...so that encludes exercise and shopping what not to love :D

Hi All,

This is my first ime on the forum. I have been reading this thread and am amazed at the support and encouragement you all give each other:kiss:. I am a little  by the acronyms but have worked out TTLW and TTC.

My husband and I have been TTC since December. I have PCOS and don't ovulate and my husband has a low sperm count so that's why we are at the IVF stage already. We started the journey in April. Had 3 cycles of Clomid with no ovulating. We have now had a harvest and got 3 successful "cookies" (I think they look like choc chip cookies). We have had one unsuccesful transfer and am now having our second try. After the harvest I had Ovarian Hyperstimulation so was feeling dreadful. Am feeling much better this time around and alot more positive. Not having any side effects at this stage. Hopefully we will have another transfer on 6 November so :fingerscrossed:.(Loving these icons!)

I'm looking forward to chatting with people who know what I'm going through and have been there before and come out the other side with their sanity in tack (I hope!):hair:

Bike - 13.78kms in 30min burning 202cal
Treadmill - 2.09kms in 24min burning 225cal

So in total i have brunt 1259cal for today. I am looking forward to my day off at the gym tomorrow. My right calf is really sore.

How is everyone else doing???

Well as I said I would weigh myself on exactly the 9 weeks to go mark... And I must say I am rather upset.

I weighed myself monday after having gastro over the weekend and my weight was 72.7kg. Now today I weigh 75kg!!! How can I put on weight when I have hardly eaten (due to wisdom teeth removal)....

Ahh sooo anyway from midnight last night (couldn't sleep) till now I have done:
8 loads of washing
Put 3 loads away
Swept & mopped my floors (60sqm)
Washed & put away the dishes

I haven't eaten much cause it hurts. Which could be the problem.

I am getting the Wii sunday, so my workouts will officially start then.

I am off to my oral surgeon appt in the city soon. So if its not to hot outside I will go for a walk in the city after the appt.

DP & I are going to be joining a gym near home. He gets discount through one cause of where he works. We just have to work out costs times etc.

logiesmummy - im so glad you are on this board you daily exercise gives me so much motivation you are on fire!!! those Kg's will be gone in no time. Just make sure your eating enough calories to sustain it - your deficit should only be about 500 cal or your body will go in ketosis. Good work.

mumoflg - water retention can affect your weight by quite a few kilos and many other factors after medication etc- 75 kg is a nice flat even number and a great starting number!

Today was my rest day from exercise but i took the dog for a 9k walk - i have hurt something on the top of my foot on my run the other day and i should have rested it and now it kills, ill ice it now and i hope it settles.
ive done 45 K's in the last 5 days and 1 x combat class so feeling good and for some reason im craving asian food so just had wonton soup for dinner it was great and healthy too. The weekends are usually really bad for me food wise so i have to try and be really good - im going to do my best!
ive got body pump and tummy hips and thighs (THT) class tomorrow, my usual sat morning routine. I used to do pump then cycle but i dont like that cycle teacher so now i do the THT class its not as intense as cycle but the hour goes really fast because its something new!

 everybody

You are all so inspirational!!

3hrs Kimnus!!!! That is huge - I have also walked & got caught up in the music but not for 3 hours..

Jess - your class tomorrow sounds like fun. I was talking to a colleague the other day & she was off to do a balance class. Unfortunately with a town like ours the classes can be really clique' (sp??) so you don't feel like you fit in & some insructors don't allow for newbies.
But a girl I know has started a class on Mondays - I think I might join that, I've joined on FB, though I guess that doesn't count :D

Gummi - housework will be a good workout!! I must pull my finger out & do that!

Mumoflj - your weights are good examples of why we should only weigh in once a week. Probably just a bit of fluid like Jess said. Have fun with the wii!

Naughty day for me I guess - had a choc at lunchtime & just scoffed a large piece of lamington roll. It's all gone now. Also a couple of little chocs in the fridge will no doubt be nibbled on later. My trick is I have to not have it in the house in the first place so will remember that at the next shop. Have not had much alcohol this week so that is a HUGE improvement on previous weeks.

Anyhoo, hope you all have a good active weekend! :smiliedance:

had my weekly weigh in today am down to 85.7kg so am very happy, didn't do any official exercise today but did mow our lawn with the push mower even tho it really should have a ride on so think that would be sufficient.
Kimnus 3 hour walk that's great
Debi you're doing so well you're such an inspiration
mumoflj you've been unwell i'd say that is why your weight has fluctuated with gastro your body probably went into starvation mode.

Oh my goodness what a TERRIBLE weekend i have had. I have eaten every edible thing that we have in the cupboard and then some.

Ive had enough so i weighed my self today and im 54.9. I looked in my diary and on Jan 11 the day i got my BFP i was 46.4 so i have put on nearly 10 kg and on some one with my frame it is crazy!

On nov 28 df and I are having our engagement party, i am going to be 50 kg at that party - no if but or maybes i am going to be -and it starts TODAY!

I only did the pump class on sat as my foot was too sore and i think if i keep exercising on it its wont get better. so i let it rest sat and sun and today i am doing a cycle class. Its non impact so the foot should be ok. I hope it gets better soon i have a deadline now and need to get my butt into gear. I hope all you ladies had a better weekend than me

- come one logiesmum tell me what you did to get me motivated. D you know your calories burned using a heart rate monitor or do you go by what the machine says. I used to use my heart rate monitor and i seriously got addicted to it - i couldnt exercise without it and knowing exactly how many calories ii burnt. Maybe ill get it out again for motivation!

Well I think i am going to take the plunge and i am going to start looking into gyms around my area. I have found an all womens gym that is 2 suburbs over from me. I am going to ask around with my friends and family to see if anyone recomends it.

Have any of you been to a fernwood gym?

I am even not caring about going by myself :D

jessicana
26-10-2009, 10:24
just quickly - i got to fernwood and I LOVE it. It is quite expensive but i think i get my moneys worth. I go 5 times a week and do lots of classes. (body pump, body step, body comabt, cycle and tummy hips and thighs (THT))

I usually try and do a pump class and a cardio class one after the other (so i usually do 3 cycle classes a week 2 x pumps and the rest in between) - i also do 30 mins on the treadmill before each class --- did i mention i LOVE it - hehehe its addictive

Kimnus
26-10-2009, 10:28

Kimnus - I pay about $40 a fortnight (i think it comes straight out of my bank) for a Opal membership. Which is just full use of gym and classes, no slimplicity or PT sessions. The gym is good though it has all shampoo, conditioner body wash, deoderant, hairspray, irons etc there so you dont need to bring anything - that being said i never use anything but deoderant but i know its there if i need it - good if you go in the morn straight before work.

waiting for my baldies - i know your frustration, i never O - this is my first cycle with clomid to make me O.

Everyone sounds like they are really motivated. I hope some of that rubs off on me. I have lost my motivation lately. Was not allowed to exercise too much while I was n the harvesting cycle due to the way I was responding to the meds. I was in a great routine before that, gyming 3-4 times per week (I'm lucky that I get membership to 16 gyms for $7.50 / week through my work so I have no excuses for not going!!). Trying to get back into it now but I've still be told not to exercise too much. Went today and did 40 minutes on treadmill and 20 minutes weights. Weigh in day for me is Wednesdays so I'll see how I go then. Current weight is 80.6kg. Would like to get down to around 70kgs. Its taken me 10 months to lose 7kg but it has actually stayed off. Its a slow process. A trick I learned that helped me give up dessert (I have such a sweet tooth!!) was to brush my teeth or chew gum after dinner. That way I didn't want to eat anything.

Friday I'm going in for an U/S and blood test to see if I'm ready for egg transfer on 6 November. :fingerscrossed:

Can anyone tell me how you make a signature at the end of your blogs?

What a great start to the week with all the exercising and weight loss!

I weighed myself today and have lost 1kg...so down to 62kgs...im amazed cos DH and I had more than a few celebratory drinks when he got home after being away for 12 days...beer and wine so not sure how i lost a kg, i was expecting a gain of at least a kilo

Have been slack on the Wii Fit but have been taking our 2 jack russells for a 45 min walk each day, which is more like a power walk with those two!

Congratulations on everyone's weight loss.:goodvibes: I am very nervous about weighing in tomorrow. My motivation still eludes me!! I hope it hurries up and comes back. I don't know if this happens to anyone else but I can lose and gain 1-2 kilos in a day. I know people say that its fluid but I'm not sure. I can have a really bad weekend and still lose weight. Another week I am totally focused and I can gain weight. In the last month I have lost 2 kilos and have not done any exercise and eaten alot of comfort food. I have be taken Metformin for alomst a year now and have uped the dose to 3 a day. Maybe it is finally starting to work for me. Did anyone else on the Metformin find that?
Well I'm crossing my fingers tomorrow for anything but a gain. Good luck to everyone with their weight loss for the next week.

We took our 12wk old German Shep puppy for a 30minute walk. Was really good for his first walk.
Took DD to the park for 30minutes today while we were out.

MY baby turned 5 today.... She isn't my baby anymore!!! I am happy & sad. I am happy she is growing up but sad that I haven't given her a brother or sister yet.

I didn't weigh myself today. I think 3 days will be 8 weeks from xmas, so I will weigh myself then.

welcome Mummy to Thomas!

I took my dog for a 5 k walk yesterday in the sunshine after work it was so relaxing. Then i went to gym and did 30 mins run on t/mill and Pump class. I was feeling really stong and happy but my foot is not getting any better and is really sore today :-( i have cycle class tonight so the foot should be ok with that.

I have been weighing in everyday, i know thats bad as there is too many fluctations but if the number keeps going down a little each day it motivates me more. (as long as it doesnt go up) even it its just .1 (i have digital scales that break down the body fat % and water % etc they have small increments)
my last day of clomid today, hope it works!

Wow, sounds like everyone had a great week and managed to lose some weight! Well done everyone :yelclap:

Well not everyone! ;) I had a good week but a horrible weekend and so put on about 1/2 kg...very annoying but it probably could have been worse, I can sometimes go up 2kgs in a weekend! Exercise was no doubt what saved me!

Will try and be good this weekend, and maybe I will lose something next week. Unfortunately I have quite a social weekend planned so there may be tears & tantrums next week

Hi All
Everyone is very quiet today. Is everyone too busy exercising except me? Hope everyone had a great day. I'm feeling very hormonal at the moment and am a little bit :hissy::hair::crying::devil:. I feel sorry for the people at work and my poor DH. I'm taking Ethinylestradiol to prepare for transfer. I hope that is what is making me feel a little crazy! Having an ultrasound tomorrow to see if I'm ready for another transfer next Friday. Hope everyone else is doing well.:flowerz:

Hello everyone,

I have been slack the last 2 days. Wednesday night we had family over for DD's birthday cake. Then Thursday night i was just stuffed from a busy day at work.

Tonight I have already cranked out the Wii Fit, done some step & DD is on there now hoola hooping.

When i first weighed in on the Wii I was 74kg. The next time I went up to 74.8kg. tonight i weighed in at 74.2kg. So I have had a loss of 600grams after having a gain.
So I am kinda happy considering I have been a bit slack. Gonna krank it tonight though.

Well better go get to it now.

Have fun ladies and behave...

Oh yeah also I am CD7. Getting closer to O time!! BD begins now!!!

Well I had my first weigh in today after no excercise this week due to DS being sick and i've managed to loose 0.9kg's! I'm very happy with that :smiliedance: I think my biggest problem is portion control but I'm slowly working on that. Also, have found that I'm not really hungry now whilst on metformin.

How's everyone else going?

 lovely crazy ladies!!!

Well you are all doing so well!!

Hmm, me not so much in the ttlw stakes. I think i've lost a bit of motivation. Also our howling southerly winds each afternoon have made going walking totally unappealing. Touch footy on Wed's is my saving grace at the minute.

I weighed myself on Thursday & had put on about a kg from the previous week . The main thing I can put it down to is over eating in the evening.
A couple of weeks ago I watched what I ate during the day & only had vegies at night & felt great. So I think I will have to do that again starting tonight - unfortunately I was a bit seedy today & was naughty & ate a sausage roll...

I find when I'm actually thinking about losing weight & the pressure to do exercise I put weight on - does that make sense??

I have made a vow to be healthier, am really noticing a thickness around my middle which is VERY unhealthy.

Anyhoo, hope you're all having a lovely weekend & doing lots of fun things :flowerz:

hello ladies,

well my weakness is weekends and as usual i have had a bad one - i wish i had the willpower i have mon to fri, but for some reason i seem to fold on weekends. I think is because im content - im happy to be at home with df and we like to relax and eat and eat and then i eat some more :(

on the upside i still have been going to the gym
i did pump and a cycle class yesterday and going to do body combat today.
I never usually get to go to gym on Sun becasue we have dog training school, but its not running today due to the long weekend so no excuses - im off to work out and body combat is my favourite exercise. It really targets across the back (bra strap flab area) and the arms (tuckshop lady arms) i have most of my fat in the upper body and tummy so its good for me!

Ill weigh in tomorrow, i got down to 52.4 on thursday so i was down 2.5kg already but i think im back up again. Im hoping to be 52.9 tomorrow but it think it will be more like 53.9 :fingerscrossed: not back up to 54.9 (my starting weight)
It was so hot yesterday so i pulled out my shorts from last summer and they were too tight
ok enough :ecomcity: for me. I hope you ladies had a good weekend and have a better week

pinch and a punch ;)

Where is everyone?
Ive had a good week of exercising everyday, today is my Rest Day though and food consumption has been good too, but i usually do well during the week. The weekend is my danger zone so lets see how im feeling on Mon!

Still waiting to O ive has +OPK 3 days in a row. The test line is as dark and darker than control line on all - so im not sure whats going on there, maybe its becasue the clomid. DF and I are trying to Bd everyday so we dont miss it - i hope it happens soon were getting tired now.

I have been slack and not exercised much this past week.

Weekends are my weakness too

I had a lovely dinner & drinks night out with the girls - lotsa drinks! :p But it was fun.
And some family are visiting this weekend so we're having a bbq tonight - I will just try for smaller portions.

Well after my sook last week, I am back on the TTLW bandwagon! Played touch Wed night & Thursday did my first session with a PT. It's out in a park near the beach & at the end the sun was setting & it was just beautiful.
So all my endorphins are flowing again & I feel good. This PT used to be a student of a friend & he's really nice. His sessions will be small, only 5 or 6, it's out in the fresh air twice a week & best of all it's only $100 for 5 weeks at twice a week - stoked!!!

As my sister is in town she will be keen for a walk this arvo so that will be something at least.

Theresa - oh I'm hearing you about the heat, hasn't it been hideous. Today is warmish, but there's no wind which is great.

Oh lastly my 2nd week I think I put on a kg but at the 3 week mark I was 200gm less than my starting weight. It's a start....

Enjoy your weekends :flowerz:

Hope its ok I join here, I've only just found this thread

Currently TTC# 1, and am at the heaviest I've ever been at 95kgs :gloomy:

I did join the gym, but because of how far I work from home, i can pretty much never go! So I'm gonna start using the Wii Fit more. I hope to start by losing at least 5kgs, and then more from there.

Weekends aren't my weakness. Everyday is. I am just plain lazy. Simple as that no denying it. I'd rather lay on the couch surfing the web & bubhub than exercise. I just have no motivation. And its hot here so I CBF.

I am going to try. I really am. I hate the way my stomach makes me look pregnant, when I am not... OH I WISH I WAS!!!

I have to say that weekends are my weakness too, hence why I weigh myself saturday morning before anything else. Well this week I have lost 500 grams which I'm very surprised with as I haven't done any exercise and drank way too many bourbons and coke :p

SW - 112.8kgs
Wk1 - 111.9kgs - loss of 900grams
Wk2 - 111.4kgs - loss of 500grams

Total loss of 1.4kgs which I'm happy with. How's everyone else going?

On the TTC front, I'm around 7DPO and over analyzing everything :o Have had on and off cramping for the past couple of days and was sure that AF was going to show up yesterday. Oh and heartburn, it's driving me NUTS!:hair:

Yes is has been hot :( my poor doggy is suffering this week.

I have been going good with the exercise. Its actually a relief to go to the gym as its cooler there than in my house.

I was 2.4 down today from my initial start weight on Oct 26 (17days ago) i have been up and down in that time though.

I bought some slim shakes from fernwood (my gym) yesterday to have for breakfast. I have been having porridge every day but i just cant stomach it in this hot weather. Actually my appetite is really off at the moment, and food seems to have no flavour. The things i usually eat and enjoy are just Blah right now.

Im 5 dpo, tempt dropped a little today and some slight brown spotting. I have tight tummy cramps too - really dont feel like running but im sure ill be fine once i get started!

It sure sounds like a heatwave for my Eastern friends!
We've had 27-29 degrees last few days, no wind so it's been lovely.

Kim - when your muscle mass increases it's good to do actual measurements too (ie cm around thigh etc...) as that's where you will see the loss rather than the scales. Well done!!

Jess - well done on your loss so far! IB today maybe? We want more good news over in the 30-35's don't we!

 everyone else.

So I had the first session yesterday with the PT - OMG!!!! I thought I would die. We did HEAPS of running - indian file (there's 6 of us), suicides, a short circuit including tricep dips & calf raises & the killer was running about 100m up an incline, doing 10 squats, run back down, then up & do 9 squats & so on. Plus other drills - do I want to go back on Thursday!?! Well lucky I've already paid on advance!!
But surprisingly I'm not too sore today. Have touch footy tonight so I'll see how I go. Weigh in tomorrow morning.

I was concerned though about how hot I was getting in case I am UTD.... Wait & see.

Enjoy your week ladies - hope it cools down for most of you!

Has anyone had an embryo transfer and been too scared to do anything?! I have been hanging out on the lounge since yesterday trying to be calm and relaxed . I went down to get the mail and jogged back up the driveway and then panicked because what if I get too hot! Has anyone tried acupuncture to help them conceive? I'm having mixed feelings about it. DH thinks its a placebo but I'm not sure. I think at this stage I'm willing to try anything just in case it works. Any thoughts?

Keep going with the PT Riss. Hope you get results soon, that will help motivate you.

My little puppy is getting a hair cut next tuesday as he is getting too hot and he just flakes on the floor after he goes for a little walk outside

Weigh in this morning & I had put on 100gm - am hoping it's the start of muscle forming!
Had touch footy last night - it was a hard game, I was stuffed. 2nd PT session today. I'm a tad nervous in case it is as full on as Tuesdays. Am worried about overdoing it if I am UTD (find out tomorrow or Sat :fingerscrossed:)

I am also nrevous about the possibility of being UTD & if this sudden start of activity will be an issue!

Kimnus - if you've already been quite active over the past few months then if you are UTD it should be ok as long as you don't overdo it & steer clear of crunches/abdo work. I bet your pup will lurve his haircut!!

Bugs - thanks for the encouragement. sorry I can't help with the embryo bit. I haven't had acu specifically for TTC, but a few ladies in another thread have & they reckon it's been great to regulate their cycles. Worth a shot, I will consider it next year if no luck this & next cycle.

I really should get off here - I have been a BH stalker today

Hi ladies!

Does anyone mind if I join you? I'm only new and not really sure of protocol here...

Have just been reading this forum for a while, only started TTC last month so still a newbie to the whole thing. Also have been 'trying' all year to lose the 8 kgs I put on at the beginning of the yr which pushed me back into the unhealthy BMI, but so far have only managed to gain 1kg, despite my 3 WW attempts, other dieting, hiring a treadmill, joining a gym, etc.

Find it hard because one second I'm telling myself just to be happy and eat lots of healthy food to help chances for a baby, and then next second i'm feeling disgusting and thinking it will better help my chances if I actually lose some weight! So confusing.

Does anyone know if cutting down KJs makes it harder to conceive? Have been trying to eat lots of grains, protein, dairy, fruit, etc but it's so high in KJs! Would be fine if I was actually pg and not just wishing I was...

Anyway, sorry to ramble on, but I've just had a day of eating absolutely everything - feel a bit sick - and after being inspired by you ladies, have decided that tomorrow i'll start counting WW points again. And actually wake up with my alarm and go for a walk instead of hitting snooze 12 times (will be the first time all year if it actually happens!) Will see if I have what it takes (sigh)...

Kimnus
13-11-2009, 17:28

 welcome raingirl, i don't know about kj's so no help there, just doing same as kimnus trying to eat healthy & excercise.

AFM - 100gm weight gain in week before AF was not too bad I thought. Which means hopefully I'll be down a bit next Thurs.
Well my PT session on Thursday admittedly was a bit hard, probably due to being 3rd day in a row of a full on session. But the great thing was the trainer really mixed things up so I didn't find in mundane.
Day of rest yesterday & this morning I was up & at 'em and took puppy for a walk/run - she was more pooped than I, it was pretty warm though! I've found I can't run for long on foot path as my feet & shins start to kill!!! So just short bursts for me...
I will try & do same again tomorrow in order to rest on Monday & have next PT on Tuesday.

Welcome raingirl .

I have a long week ahead of me this week. FInd out on Friday if the embryo transfer has been successful. Having mixed feelings. Feel today like I'm having period pain but one of the side efects of the progesterone pesseries is cramping so unsure which it is. It is so hard to remain positive. I want to prepare myself for a no but at the same time want to make sure that I'm having positive thoughts. Weight loss is non existant because I can't exercise too much. Luckily I'm not gaining any weight. Not sure how that is happening . Good luck to everyone with the WL this week. Fingers crossed I may have some good news to share next week.

Good luck for Friday Bugsbaby, I hope your week doesn't drag too much. :babydust2:

Girls, this was an article in the WA Sunday paper today:

Quote: "Spending too much time in the gym can decrease a woman's chance of having children... a Norwegian study has found 'superwoman workouts' tripled fertility problems. Experts agree physical exercise has obvious benefits, but it is thought too much saps the body of the energy needed for pregnancy": End Quote

That's how big the article was. Interesting, not sure how true it would be or not. Food for thought.

Have not done what I said I would & exercise today, probably won't either. I think a beer out on the deck may be more likely :D
4 days of work then a 4 day weekend for me - lucky I will have PT on Tues & touch on Wed to burn some calories before I no doubt put some back on when I'm in Perth.

Enjoy the start to your weeks :smiliedance:

Short cycle means I have to give myself 2 injections per day. They say it takes 3 cycles on average to be successful so fingers crossed.
Today was a very emotional day. They sent me home from work because I couldn't stop crying. Hope these hormones settle down a little or I at least learn how do manage them.
Hope everyone is having a good week. On the plus side I am down to 79.4, which is a loss of 7kgs since I started the campaign.

Theresa - well done!! You should be really happy with yourself & I'm sure this is giving you more motivation to lose the last 5kg!

Well my body feels older than 35 today :D Had a tough PT session on Tuesday & last nights touch game was hard, although with 2 tries & best player I was feeling good mentally!!
PT again tonight, I think I will warn him I won't be at 100% tonight.

Am feeling a bit despondent as my weight has not gone down, if anything it's up.... BUT I'm really hoping this is because I am building up a bit of muscle. My clothes are definately feeling looser, I feel pretty good about myself & my food intake has been reduced too. So maybe I just have to wait for clearer results in a few weeks. Only 2 weeks left of PT before Xmas - I feel scared about not doing much over Xmas break so will have to pull my finger out & make sure I stay self motivated  Hope that works....!

Bugsbaby - just wanted to wish you luck for the next week. Those hormones can suck, im one of those unlucky people who east even when im not hungry so increased appetite is all the time for me. But good luck :fingerscrossed: for you!

I have been eating well all week, not one slip up and i have run 30km and done 6 aerobics classes and i put my jeans on last night and they were tighter than ever. :( especially around the legs and running usually makes my legs smaller,so i dont know whats going on there. I did put on a few kg with my last round of clomid and im on my second round now so maybe thats it?
Its my engagement party tomorrow and i wanted to feel a bit slimmer, oh well. Its my fault i had heaps of time to lose the weight but i kept putting it off. Next week i have 2 x Xmas parties, my work and df's work. I tried on the dress i wore last year and its too tight and my other dress doesnt zip up :hair: ive got no money to buy anything new so im not sure what im going to do there, maybe very strict diet next week

I am going to try. I really am. I hate the way my stomach makes me look pregnant, when I am not... OH I WISH I WAS!!!

/QUOTE]

OMG We must be twins lol, I hate the pain of working out and trying to eat more healthy.

I'm 80.6 kilos at present but this past week I have been thinking over ever since DP said he wanted me to have his baby. That if I want to have a baby, that I need to start to be more healthy and to loose weight and gain some muscle ;).

Mumoflj I know what you mean about being mistaken as pregnant. My DP's mother a few months ago told a few people in our local community that I was pregnant.
It got back to my mother who understandably was upset that I didn't tell her that I was "pregnant."
Hey I have had both my father and mother question if I was pregnant. When I was clearly not. LOL.

So my goal is to lose at least five kilos to start with and to go from a size 16 to a size 14.

Is Wii FIT any good? I have a terrible thing with games if it is first person view like car games etc as it makes me get dizzy quickly. Is there anything like that on Wii Fit?
