When DD goes out with DH,I make sure she does a wee before she leaves. However if she has to do a wee when out with him, they rush back home as DH can't take her to the men's toilet obviously. Is that what people normally do?How does your DD got to toilet when out with your DP/DH?

Parents room, or if there isn't one then he'll use the disabled toilet. They do have cubicles in the men's toilets though so if she needs to go and that's all there is then he takes her in there... it's only a drama if you let it be :) Pretty much all places have a disabled toilet though so that's always a good back up (and even people who need to use these toilets understand that little people can't wait sometimes :) ).

 He uses the disabled toilet or parents room.
Having said that - he doesnt often take her out on his own to the shops or anything. I am usually there too ....

Same as above poster.. thou, I have told Chris if there is nothing else available, to use the ladies toilet.. I am not willing to take the risk of Roar seeing a strange Man's private parts simply because their is no parents room or disabled toilet.

Parent's room, disabled toilet.
Our local pub has neither of these, so he just took her into the ladies himself. The ladies is very small, only 2 cubicles so he checked it was empty first. No big deal.
We also have a potty in the car for when we get caught short. Solid waste gets tipped in newspaper and tied in a nappy disposal bag until we can get it somewhere. The potty gets wiped clean with baby wipes.
We live in the country, sometimes it is a distance between toilets and little kids can't wait.

Parent's room, disabled toilet. When she was younger he'd take her into the mens, now he sends her into the ladies on her own if there is no separate parents room or handicap. I had to warn him that she sometimes can't reach the toilet paper after sitting down, often can't reach to flush the toilet, turn on the taps or reach the soap dispensers on her own, so she'll likely be coming out with mangy bum & hands!
Same as others, first look for a parents room, if he can't find one then disabled toilet, but they don't go out to the shops alone very often, usually just to friends or the MIL's place:)
Parent's room or the mens toilet. He'll use the disabled toilet if he knows that the mens toilet isn't clean.
Even if I'm there I'll send DH off to take them sometimes. There's usually a cubicle in the mens toilet anyway and my girls do know what a penis is and they have seen DH pee numerous times so no issues with them someone else pee.

I don't have a DD but I would think that DH would do the same as I do when out with DS - use either the disabled toilet or a parent's room.

Disabled toilet or if the male toilets are empty he'll take them in there.

Why can't she use the mens toilet?
Today is the first time Dh has taken DD out since her TT... as far as I know he took her into the mens, although I did say disabled is usually better as you get more room!

He'll usually take her to a parents room or disabled toilet or if there is neither of these options he'll take her to the mens.
We also had a potty in the car (DD doesn't like to use it any more so it has migrated out but it is handy for long trips) it is one of those portable one that folds nearly flat and uses special bags with an absorbant patch in the bottom of them - though I discovered a nappy sack fits perfectly and if you have a couple of no name sanitary pads hey presto the cheats version - though we often don't even worry about the pad as the nappy sacks tie up fairly well and if is just a wee I tend to tip it out in a garden, bin or gutter:D)

Back when I was little, apparently my father asked a woman with a child about my age if she could take me to the toilet... but I don't think anyone would really do that anymore!
It never happens, because DDs father lives overseas.
However, I think the solutions could be fairly simply - use a disabled toilet or parents room toilet. Even if the girl is too old to want her father in there with her, he could simply stand outside the door while she goes. I understand others need these toilets too, but I also figure those people would be understanding of that kind of situation.

Holly, there's no reason he can't... but I still remember the ONE time I went into the mens with my father. It was awful, and therefore he never took me in there again.
There were strange men using the urinal... it just wasnt somewhere I felt comfortable being. I was about 6.

i havnt had to cross this problem yet, but i was at the pool the other day and there was a sign on the female toilet door "boys over 5 must use the male toilets"
(but typically, nothing written on the male toilets)..
