Anyone who conceived after having chemo?

I'm wanting to hear from anyone out there who has under gone chemo and are now TTC or who have conceived. I am about to start chemo for Burkitt Lymphoma and I'm worried about the effects on my fertility and if I will be able to conceive afterwards. My doctors give my just higher than 50% chance of conceiving. Unfortunately we didn't have time to freeze my eggs or get embryos done or anything like that. When I was diagnosed with cancer I was 15 weeks pregnant and due to the nature of my cancer and the chemo I am required to have, they had to terminate the baby. So I am now more desperate than ever to have another baby. Unfortunately we can't start trying for about 2 years which is such a long time to have to wait. I really want to hear from anyone else who has gone through something similar.

hi, jst wanted to give you some hope. my sister had brest cancer and went through chemo 4 yrs ago. she is now in remission. she also now has 2 little boys under two, both concieved after she had chemo. it can be done.

Hun, just wondering if there is a support group for Burketts Lymphoma or a forum connected in some way that may give you more information from those who have the same condition? I'm sure the hospital could put you in touch with such a group.

:hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs:I have heard of many women conceiveing after or even during chemo. I am not one of them, but because of cancer I have just undergone a hysterectomy, so no more kids for me. We were planning #3 when it all happen, we were actually starting to think about trying for #3, so I sorta know how you feel, even though I know that what you are going through is so much worse.


Just wanted to encourage you, that there are many cases of conception afetr chemo, so don't give up hope, concentrate on your ownn recovery because as youknow, if you are not here neitherwill your babies.
