I don't think so...... My last two cycles showed I didn't and my AF came.
I believe it can. However you should eventually either get anovulatory bleeding around AF time or at some stage when the lining builds to an extent that it cannot take anymore and sheds.
Anovulatory cycles can occur in all women however if you have just come off the pill or have an underlying fertility problem they may occur more often. this is what i believe from reading up on all of this, I am no doctor. I am on about day 140 since my withdrawl bleed after going off the pill and am yet to ovulate OR bleed. I have just been diagnosed by my GP as having PCOS and have an appointment with a fertility specilist for further testing.
If you often have cycles where you do not ovulate i would suggest that you see your gp or fertility specialist for follow ups just incase. It has been 4 months for me but because of my predicament I wanted them to look into it sooner rather than later, i am glad that i did rather than wait 12 months!
