Hi,

My son is now 7 months old and I have just weaned him from the breast to the bottle 2 weeks ago. Today was the first period I have had since having ds. Before I was pregnant my periods were quite light but now this one is quite heavy,(I have never had heavy periods before). Is this because it is the first one?Or should I now expect them to be like this all the time???
Any advice would be helpful

Thanks

I use to have a very light period that use to go for 2-3 days. Since having DS 17mths ago it has been sooo heavy and going for a week:eek: I'm hoping it will go back to how it use to be:fingerscrossed: but i doubt it:rolleyes:

I got my period after 6 weeks (despit exclusive b/feeding:thumbsdown: ) and they were woeful from the first go and I am sorry to tell you this but they have got worse every cycle (i have had 6 so far). I have always had very bad periods (endometriosis and pcos) but they are worse than ever - heavy, big clots and very long and painful. My mum was the same and said that they got worse with each child...

I dont know if mine are only so bad b=cause of my history? I hope so for your sake! Good luck!

MY AF came back when DS was 6mths and was quite heavy, but they have gradualyy eased off, although I seem to get spotting for quite a few days at the end now - much to DH's frustration!
