I'm currently in my 2nd cycle off the pill and my cycle was 33 days long last time - presumably ovulation was delayed cause I got sick.

I got a positive OPK 8 days ago (friday night) and by symptoms (CM) I probably ovulated on Sunday. With a 2yo who wakes me up at random times remembering to do a BBT is impossible. Sunday was CD17. When I did BBT charting prior to my first pregnancy my temp would only be up for 9 - 10 days before AF came (yep, shortish luteal phase). I'm a bit unsure about just relying on OPK's.

Any suggestions on when I should test or even when AF might come ??

hi, Im in a similar boat to you. I got a pos opk last friday and think i o-ed on sunday. Im bfing my son so af isnt the most regular so ive been using opks and checking cm, my last af was sept 17. Im relying on opks. I have no idea when af will come for me so i guess for us both its a waiting game. sorry i cant help you out. good luck.:babydust2:

I think you should test at 12DPO. There should be enough HCG in your system to detect. If it is a BFN I would wait another 2 days and test again.

Update ... AF arrived on CD 26. So, I must have got the timing of O correct.

I got confused cause I read that your temp rise on BBT charting can be up to 3 days post your actual ovulation, so I thought maybe that my luteal phase was longer than the 10 days I used to find with BBT charting. But, no, it is really 10 days and I'm not pregnant :(
