Baby Shower Prizes

I was wondering what sort of things you give as prizes at baby showers for the games.

I'm starting to organise a few things now for mine and would like to get a few bits and pieces over the next few months so I don't have to get it all in one go.

I've bought really funky picture frames that comes in purple & apple green - this is the colour scheme I'm having for the baby's room.

I'm also buying candles.

Now some of the guests are not moms yet - I'm going to get those small bottle of wine and wrap it with cello and have ferero small packs in them. Wrap in blue and pink ribbons (dunno the sex of the bubba yet).

Also going to Ikea this weekend and might see some stuff on special like those ice trays or something for the kitchen..

I know should have baby themes but like seriously can't give dummy as a prize.

I'm also thinking of giving 2 movie tickets as a major prize.

I am having a baby shower thrown for me this coming weekend so if any good ideas, i will be more than happy to share.

If you were wanting any baby themed gifts, getting small baby bottles filled with candy from a lollie store would do the trick. Most local milk bars have them, or even to buy some cheap small baby bottles and fill them yourself with some sort of food related item (sorry...food always on my brain!!)

my sister threw a surprise shower for me so I wasn't involved in organising it, but all of the prizes for the games were things like bibs, spoons, baby toothbrush and other baby stuff. It didn't matter who won the game, I got the prize! :smiliedance:

We went to DIVA (cheap jewlery shop) they always have sales! and got HEAPS of necklaces and things to ive away....things ppl actually use! the girls went mental over them specially mums friends typical!!!!

I gave out stuff like boxes of chocolates and candle sets.

one of the ideas that was used at my shower .. is to buy bottles of shower gel (you know.. from the body shop etc) - and put a card on it saying ' from my shower .. to yours' :laughing:

kinda corny .. but I thought it was cute :D

the last baby shower i went to the prizes where all these little nicky nacky things, cute at the time but now dust collectors.

i organised my cousins baby shower yesterday, and instead of spending lots of money on bits n pieces that people wouldnt use, i bought fun size choccies instead and gave them out. most of the women brought their children so lots passed it to the kids if they didnt want them, but it was nice to give something for a prize.
