Help! My son only has accidents when I put undies on him! No accidents when naked???

Hi there I am a new poster, but I am a bit confused (maybe its normal) but my 2 yr 9mth old boy has been potty training for a week and I know lucky me, he hasn't had one accident as i started him with no clothes on his bottom half and from the first go he declared "i need to do a wee" and thats it.... off he went to the potty.

Of course I thought all my dreams had come true - yay no accidents lucky me!!! but after a week of nakedness, I thought well now I get him some undies (mind you they had to be "cars the movie" ones), and he will learn to pull them up and down and we should have the same results.... well now he doesn't tell me he is going at all and just wees all over my carpet! I know its early, but should I keep putting the undies on and keep trying or do i keep him naked and tell him he can't wear his special undies till he learns to pull them up and down? (i just loved having no accidents!)

please help me, i don't know if this is normal?

Hey,
My boy went through the same thing. I think it was just that he felt like he had a nappy on. My hubby ended up telling our son that if he did a wee on his new undies (spiderman:) ) they would be yucky and we would have to throw them in the bin, just like when you do wee in a nappy;) .
Well he didn't like that idea and caught on (fairly) quickly...

thank you, i have kept him bare bottomed this morning, but will put the undies back on this arvo, i tried with the throwing them in the bin thing, but he really couldn't care less! don't you love it when they outsmart you... i don't know, if anyone has any more suggestions, please fire away!
