I know that when you get ultrasounds done through the hospital some of them do have the facilities for that kind of scan IYKWIM.. and they do it for free :D The person who did my scan was extremely nice and did lots of them for us.. so ring the hospital that you're going to and see if they can do it.
Goodluck :fingerscrossed:

The womens hospital told me to ring other hospitals to find out if they do it or not sorry i wasnt any help though
I believe the ultrasound your looking for is a 4d, which is when you can view your entire baby from every angle in a three dimensional form. Don't get confused the nameis 4d. This is the latest technology in ultasounds. I actuall saw an add and photo in the mag 'melbourne child' just b4. Also in Lygon St, Carlton is a place that does them, can't remember the name I went there for tests. Opp the park, next to Hotel "women's ulrasounds" i think. Well all the best to u ;)

Pinkbug, maybe call your local hospitals and radio imaging centres??? They should be able to help you..
Mama, actually there is:
2d: standard U/S
3d and 4d....I'm not sure the difference but my avatar is a 3d pic of my bubs....when I was having my ultrasound done I looked at the knob thingos they run over your stomach and each different one was labelled '3d' or '4d'....

I have checked with them, they just do a couple of minutes worth of it at the end, at no extra charge, but you will need get it done, while you are doing your diagnostic, 12 week/ 20 week scan.
when is your diagnostic scan, I migth be able to dig up more info for you by then.
otherwise, just keep calling the places on teh back of your reffereal letter, and ask them. Good luck.:fingerscrossed:
a causion note:
mine was done, at "early image" as a private scan, I paid $315 for two scan, one of them, was for gender determination, the other just a 4D scan, I was under the impression that I will get a recording of both sessions on DVD. but nop, it only had the second one on DVD, they gave me 4 of the pictures, for free, had to pay another $30 for a CD full of pictures. and frankly, the pictures are so small, and unclear, that I don't think it was worth the money I paid:mad: . beside, even though one of teh scans was specificly done for gender determoination, they actually did not give me any proof of what the outcome was, so if my DD comes out with the wrong bits, it is my word, against theirs:banghead: . Not happy with that, don't go there, it is not worthed.
BTW: a 3D scan is the same as 4D scan, the forth dimention, is time, so 3D is still pics, 4D is moving pictures, like a video.
