As posted in the other thread we should have a meet up somewhere in/near town (or wherever is convenient) for those who are interested in making friends. I have met some of the lovely southern mums and now it's time to branch out as well!
If there is a day in the week that doesn't suit you, please post and I will try my best to accommodate everyone. If anyone knows a place in or near the city then feel free to suggest it. :)
I live in St Marys but am happy to go anywhere, including waaaaay up north if that suits everyone else! I have an almost 4 month old DD.

I'm in - only days that are completely out for me are Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Not sure where would be good?
Oh a bit about me - i am 26 and my DD is 15 months. I am also pregnant with my second child :D
Hi
I'd be very interested in meeting up. I live in Mount Barker but am more than happy to drive anywhere in or around the city for the chance to make some friends!
I am 30 and have 2 boys, nearly 3 years old and 13 months.
I am free any day but on Fridays the boys go to childcare, however if people don't mind me coming without the kids I can definately still come then.

I live in clearview, so just north of the city. I don't drive so i would prefer to meet in the city.
I have a 27 month old and a 9 month old. All days are good for me.:)

What about Wednesday next week?
Poppetfish, do you know of anywhere that might be good that is convenient to you? I'm not familiar with buses etc on that side of the city so if you pick somewhere that you know will be easy for you to get to, then maybe we can go there? :)

hi ladies
I'm keen but am a slight pain at the moment. I'm only available friday. This is just until uni is over so if you decide to do another day, i'd still be keen when uni finishes.
I'm 23 with a 3 and a half year old son.

What about friday next week? Wednesday is the day before pay day and i have already blown my budget!:shame:
We could go to a park in the southern park lands or to the glover playground north, botanic gardens, museum(my DS loves the museum), zoo, ect...:) Or there is a good indoor play centre on north east road. It usd to be called jack in the box. It cost's $6 to get in :)

What is happening with this? I am still keen if everyone else is?
Friday would be okay or maybe the week after if it is a bit late for people to organise - don't mind where it is but i'd prefer somewhere with easy parking :D

Friday is still good with me but it will need to be in the morning as I have another commitment at 2pm. I would prefer a park over anything else as my DD tends to get highly overstimulated by being inside and we have a long day on Friday (but that's just my preference - am happy to go along with whatever). I agree with MM on the easy parking though - maybe Elder Park and we can park under the Festival theatre? Or if anyone else has one definite suggestion then I'm all ears!

Monday is perfect for me. We are off to Melbourne on Thursday morning so that will work out nicely.
Shall we all bring a plate to share?
Poppetfish
22-10-2009, 07:10
My DS has severe allergies so any food that we would be sharing has to be sesame and tree nut free. He even reacts from cross contamination. It is up to other people if you would prefer to just bring your own food or try to work around allergies.
How about we do a cheese plate and everyone brings some cheese and a few bits of fruit and i bring some biscuits as well. Just no blue cheeses or unparsterised cheeses for MM. Is that a good idea?

Sounds like a plan poppetfish, i certainly don't want to accidentally bring anything that your son could react to.
So should we lock in the park on Monday?
What time suits everyone? I'd prefer morning-ish.

Things are very hectic with me at the moment so maybe another time would be better anyway.
Hope you feel better poppetfish.

Oh Poppetfish I am sorry you aren't feeling well. I hope you get better soon.
We are off to Melbourne on Thursday for a week so I'll be unavailable until at least the 4th, but after that I'm free again and hopefully things will be convenient for everyone else too. Will post closer to the time to see when suits everyone :)
