Walking Group

Hey guys
Just looking at the Gold Coast thread (Sorry for nicking your idea GC people :D ) and they are starting up a walking group. Anyone interested in starting one here? I have been on holidays and have put on a couple of kilos I would like to get rid of! I was thinking up Mooloolaba beach/Alex headland walk there is nice. Let me know what u think anyway guys

Great idea! I used to love walking along there when I lived in Mountain Creek. Now I love my walk along Kings Beach, but I'd definately come up for a Mooloolaba walk every now & then. But maybe I do walk too fast! Ooops! It's a good walk to go from Alex, all the way down to the park opposite the yacht club & back. Cos at the park you can have a nice long break while the kids play!

I'd definitely be interested - pending a time I can slot in with work. I think my Dr will beat me up if I gain a huge amount of weight with this PG! :laughing:

I don't know if anyone's interested in doing a walk on a weekend at all???????

I will be interested soon, when I stop work and after baby is born, I will have a bit of weight to remove when he is finished with it! :laughing:

Maybe we can do a couple of walks a week that way everyone can make it. I dont mind weekend walks, great excuse to get me out of the house and away from screaming kids!!!

And if there is a midweek walk, I may even be able to duck out for that here & there.

i would love to be in a walking group, but i just don't get down that end of the coast much, too much like the big city for country bumpkins like me:p .

if anyone is down noosa end i would love to stroll along the noosa river occassionally.

Hey Cherie!!
I would definitely be keen for a walk - Amelie and I quite often walk from Alex to Mooloolaba and back - it is so lovely - espec on a beautiful day :yes:
I have Thursday and Friday's off, although we have swimming first thing Thursday morning but could always come straight from there if it suits?
Saturday mornings generally suit as well.

Well im just going to make a time and date and if people turn up then thats great, if not ill walk bymyself!
So next thursday the 27th at 10am and meet at Alex surf club car park.
Hope to see lots of people there so we can all get fit together!

I hope I can make it today, mum rang and said my dad is sick with heart troubles, mum wants me to go to the Drs to check him out cause shes at work and cant make it. Will check him out and hopefully hes ok then can meet whoever is turning up at 10am, if not have fun and I will see u next time!

I actally organised the walk but didnt end up turning up cause my dad ended up in hospital that day, but hes ok now thank goodness nothing a few drugs cant cure!:thumbsup:
We should make a day next week to go and I promise I will turn up!!! Im free pretty much any morning after 9.30 What about u mum2elouise?

I could possibly be free on Wed morning (the 16th) because my office is in Brissie, I get Ekka day off!! ALL RIGHT!!

DH might actually have that day off (can't remember the last time we had a day off together!!) but if not, I'll be free.

I forgot, The kids have the day off school that day for the Ekka also. So Wed isnt good for me! Why do they need a holiday anyway! Just another excuse for the teachers to have a day off!
