DS (4 mths) has started to cry and whimper in his sleep? When i go in and check he still asleep and will eventually settle again with out any help from me?
Im a bit a paranoid mum and am worrying now that some thing might be wrong? Any ideas?
Babies make a lot of noise in their sleep and I remember my ds doing this a lot. He is probably just dreaming and 'talking' in his sleep, it doesn't even mean it's a nightmare or anything to worry about. It sounds normal to me. :hugs:

My 12 month old dd does this a fair bit too.
I hate it, it's so heartbreaking. :crying:
My DS did this a few weeks ago... 2 nights in a row. I ran in there and tried to comfort him but he was sound asleep. I kept thinking he would wake but then after about 5 minutes of me just patting him and stroaking him... he stopped. It totally broke my heart!

My 21 month old son does it now and then. I agree with some of the others - your little boy is probably dreaming or talking in his sleep. I don't think its anything you should worry about.

sounds like he was just dreaming as coop would do that. just wait til he starts laughing and giggling in his sleep, that will just make your heart melt:cloud9:
Yep...my DD does it to and I am the same I wanna give her a cuddle but I generally just put my hand on her tummy and say that everything is okay, she settles herself but I like her to know that I am there IYKWIM?
BTW - I still do this too and I am 26...
