Blood Tests, Ultrasounds and Another $$$ Q

Hi All

Today I went for my Donor Screen Blood Test. I was billed $125.00 for it, but I am trying to save C money, and presented my Health Care Card (I have one because I require medication for an injury) for bulk billing.

My Ultrasound will not be bulk billed even with the Health Care Card. Does anyone else have any tips on saving $$$$ for their Recipients? I have been trying to find ways to do it all on a budget for them.

Hey

Except for having personal health insurance and asking for bulk billing where possible, not much else you can do...unless you are already over your medicare safety net which is a big help. Good on you for trying!

You will also find that most recipients are over the medicare safety net (one cycle tends to do that!), so they get more back from medicare for anything they can claim....

As Cindy said, apart from asking to be bulk billed and using your health insurance if you have it, there's not much else you can do.
