Hi all,

I had a TSH blood test done last week. Results are 0.54 (with a normal range of 05.-4.5).
I did this as my temps seem really low and I have been TTC since my stillbirth and having no luck.
The Dr. I saw said my thyroid was normal, however it's not till today that I actually got the results sent to me. So altho in the normal range, do you think I may have a low thyroid and what can be done? I plan to see my normal GP (who is very good) later in the week. Thanks so much, any advice would be so appreciated.

i'm currently getting my thyroid tested due to ongoing problems. luckily i'm not trying to get pregnant (my partner is) cos the thyroid seems to do so much! iodine might help. also found this website http://thyroidhealthsupplement.net/ but i'm going to wait for my results before i try anything like that cos it's also possible that as well as my thyroid my adrenal gland is misbehaving so. arrgh! my body hates me.

I have an under active thyroid, but your levels are normal. If you thyroid wasn't working you TSH would be really high because your body is trying to make it produce T3 and T4 hormones. When I was found, my TSH was 23!!! Sounds more like your thyriod is producing too much hormones, which would make you hyper not hypo. Hyper means too much, hypo is not enough.

If you are hyper, you will prob have to go on medication to stop it producing so much hormone.
