small amount of pureed onion/capsicum
in puff pastry

500g Sausage mince
1 grated carrot
1 grated zuchini
1/2 finely diced onion
garlic paste (to taste, I use about half a teaspoon)
chives
1/2 cup bread crumbs
pinch of salt and pepper
puff pastry
yum ;) also a great way to sneak in some vegies for a fussy toddler like my dd.

Equal quantities of sausage mince and regular beef mince say 500g each
1 pkt of frenchonion soup
1 egg
a big squirt of tomato sauce
That's it, mix it up and wrap in ready made puuf pastry.
This is what I make for the shearers at shearing time and there are no complaints but they'd probably no better than to try:laughing:
No DH raves about them, simple but yummo.

These sound good!
Is sausage mince a different mince to normal stuff? Do I get it from the butcher?
Going to have to make some with the above recipes

Mince is mince, some people call a different name to others. I buy all our meat from the butcher.

My mix is -
Mince
Carrot diced
Onion diced
BBQ sauce
Small amount of breadcrumbs
Eggs
Salt and pepper
Mashed peas
Basically meatloaf wrapped in pastry. Very yummy.
With the mince you can use meat from any animal, chicken mince goes nicely.

Sausage mince is different, it is alot fattier (and therefore tastier IMO:D). You find it near the sausages in the butcher section of the supermarket, usuallly in a 500g plastic tube? looks like dog food lol.
I like half normal mince/half sausage mince but you could easily use total quantity of just the one sort.
You could even just peel raw sausages and use the guts of those :)
I want sausage rolls now:laughing:

No to derail but do you freeze home made S-rolls before or after cooking? I want to try the ones here!
I do mine the same as you OP but I also put little chunks of cheese scattered through it  Yum!
absolutely freezable! When the boys were first born, my Nana used to make us a big batch and bring them over and pop them in the freezer- great to have on hand when you're short on time.. I often used to have some with salad :)

My sausage roll recipe sounds so boring (not to mention unhealthy) compared to these!!
Sausage mince
Finely diced onion
Fresh breadcrumbs
BBQ sauce
Worcestershire sauce
Puff pastry
I always get rave reviews :)
Feeling guilty about the lack of veggies now though lol might have to make a batch and see if they pass DPs taste test :)
I made these ones for my son's birthday party - the kids were too busy playing and by the time they got to the food table the adults had demolished the sausage rolls!
250g both sausage and beef mince
1 x onion
1 x carrot grated
1 x zucchini grated
1/2 cup fresh breadcrumbs
1 tbsp tomato paste
1-2 tbsp bbq sauce (I use smokey bbq)
2 eggs
frozen puff pastry
I make mine up and freeze them uncooked until I need them. After trying these I will never buy sausage rolls again!
my friend makes this vege version and its yum

500g minced meat
Finely diced red onion
2-3 cloves of garlic chopped super fine
Chopped up mushrooms
Grated then chopped carrot
Sweet paprika
A few splashes of soy sauce
Eggs
Bread crumbs
Puff pastry
I freeze mine before they are cooked and just chuck them in the oven to cook when the boys want them :)
