Well finally my little girl decided to join the world on the 7th July 2006! :smiliedance: She was actually a week early which was a nice surprise.
On the thursday night, i was having contractions every 5 min lasting about 30 sec long at around 9pm. I wasnt sure if it was it cause i have had a lot of false alarms that week. Well by the time midnight came around i was sure it was it, they were getting closer together and lasting longer. So i got my dear DH out of bed and we went to hospital. When we got there she said that she wasnt sure if i was in actual labour cause my cervix was still long. So they made me stay there and see what happened. She came and checked on me at 4am and i was 3cm dilated and she gave me a S & S to get things moving. My contractions were getting really strong then. Soon after the s & s i was bleeding a fair bit which worried them, i even had clots! They found out after the birth was over that it was the placenta breaking down! Anyway after quite a number of hours in labour they decided to break my waters at 12.30pm. I was only 6cm dilated at this stage. Things began to progress really fast after they broke the waters. I began pushing at 2.15pm and this stage lasted 45min cause she was posterior. She finally was born at 2.58pm without any instruments or complications. So it was another long labour totalling 18 hours! I actually found this labour harder and more painful than my first which is weird. Im actually glad she came early cause she would of been a big baby. Her length and HC was actually bigger than Jaydens.
Well thats my birth story of Alethea's birth. Im really sorry if it was heaps long! :o
Her statistics:
Weight: 8lb 6.5oz or 3820g
Length: 53.5cm
HC: 36.5cm
