Would LOVE your feedback on a girls name...

I'm pregnant and can't decide on a girls name. The surname starts with M and sounds european. The names I have in mind are:


Eliza
Maya
Lara
Carla


I really have confused myself and have searched through so many websites. I am searching for a beautiful name that is not too common but not obscure either. Would love feedback - thanks! :wave:

I like them all except Eliza.. doesn't really help does it. I also like Clara; as a twist of Carla (my name is Cara and I like it but sometimes wished it was Clara - altho i like Cara cos it's not too common but not too wierd either)

i like them all i choose Eliza on the poll as a bias vote because thats my name :laughing:
i always get compliments on it and its not very common i have only ever know 2 other Eliza's in my whole life so thats a good thing one thing is dont have Jane as the middle name the other two i knew both had Jane as the middle name mines Kate

I have a colleague with an adult daughter called Eliza. It sounds lovely when you say it.

It's a nice classic name.

They're all quite nice names anyway.:)

I chose Lara, I think it's a gorgeous name!!!! Maya is pretty too but I'm not a big fan of first names and surnames with the same initial.
Eliza is a very close second!

I picked Eliza :thumbsup: i think its beautiful and not as common. Its hard isnt it???? I feel like im never going to pick out a name :rolleyes: on well ive got 15 weeks to think about one!!! Best of luck darl.;)

Thanks everyone, I appreciate you taking the time to respond. I still don't know what to choose but have narrowed it down from 4 to 3 (despite the fact that I think its a lovely name I think I have discounted Carla).

Well I have just under 3 months to make up my mind. But it may end up being a boy in which case I have spent so much time thinking about a girls name for nothing. But then it has been our decision not to find out the sex.
