Dob in a family member/friend to docs or centrelink for spite (eg make up a story to get them in trouble - untrue) i was reading another thread and it got me thinking about when my mother and mil did this last year.

oh god no, that's horrible. Why would anyone do that? And surely if anyone here has done that they wouldn't admit to it?
you mother and mil did this?

Yep to dh and i. They rang centrelink and told them i was working and i was 36 weeks pregnant and very unwell and my payment was stopped until the decided i wasnt. And they also called docs and told them that we had no furniture and ds was sleeping on a blanket on the floor etc...and we werent coping etc...well docs turned up to a lovely home full of furniture and a very happy and content ds. They told us after a lengthy interview, we were doing a fantastic job and wished they could see more kids living like ds. We hadnt spoken to either side for a year before that and they wanted revenge. It wasnt the only things they did either.

meggie every time I read about something that has happened to you I get so angry I could explode! I think you're amazing for getting through it the way you have :hugs:
And to answer your question, no, I would never, EVER do anything like that.
But if I knew someone was deliberately ripping Centrelink off and, especially if they thought they were clever and were laughing about it or bragging about it, I'd dob them in so fast their heads would spin!

No I would never what horrid parents you have who needs enemies with mothers like that.
I have heard of ex's dobbing into DOCS I just dont get it why put the child a risk and waste docs time for bull$h!t, these people should be put in jail for a few weeks to teach them a lesson about stuffing social services around and wasting time.

hi and thanks. Dh and i have been through alot and its so hard at times. We just manage i guess. If it wasnt for bh i would be clinically insane. I just need to get it out and hopefully we get through this phase in our lives sooner rather than later. My life should just about be made into a daytime soapie

That is just so wrong. No amount of spite justifies this sort of behaviour. I hope you're immensely happy as revenge to them and their childish games. Really I would expect this sort of thing from school kids.

first of all, :hugs:to you deary, that must of been a hard thing to go through.
and secondly, NO i would never ever dob people in just out of spite. that just seems very evil. if i honestly thought there was something 'going on' then i would, but just to get back at someone?? no way!! how horrid.
it's people like that who waste the systems resources, and children who really really need their help, (like that girl that was starved to death by her parents??) get let-down by the system who are meant to protect them, but are perhaps under-manned because they're going to stupid call-outs!! makes me very :hair:
Definatley not, I can be very nasty but I would NEVER do this. Its just so wrong, lying & wasting government time & money investigating false claims, especially with DOCS that is not cool.
I cant believe people would do that!

my ex best friend did it to another friend of hers while they were fighting! they went through hell and back with centrelink looking into their financial situaion etc... of course none of it was true... eventually they became friends again and the girl that dobbed them in invited the other couple down for dinner where she told them it was her that had dobbed them in!! she took it well, if it had been me id have gladly jumped the table and throttled her,,,,
