Is there a cloth pull up style nappy that is absorbent enough for an almost 4 year old to wear overnight?
DD1 is 4 at the end of next month and still wears nappies to bed. We gave up on cloth nappies o'night ages ago because they just couldn't hold it. However, I didn't think she'd still be needing a nappy at this age.
She's starting to get a bit embarassed about the fact that she still wears a nappy to bed but I won't buy the actual night time disposable nappies because if I'm buying a disposable it's at least going to be a bit more environmentally friendly than huggies.

She does one wee overnight, sometimes two. She doesn't always go to the toilet before bed (tries every night) so that's when she'll wee twice.

So it would need to be very absorbent. I want the pull up style so she can feel a bit more grown up compared to her little sister. My BIL was 7 before he stopped the wetting the bed so I have a feeling we're in for the long haul.

I use large peapods for my toddler and 6yo.

For the 6yo, I do up the studs as on the top row only, and she pulls them on and off herself.

I use the two outermost studs on each side of the top row.

As for absorbancy, I use:
* a double hourglass microfibre absorber from a haute pocket.
* the bamboo trifold that came with the peapod
* a hemp jamtots booster.

-------------

As for dedicated pullon cloth nappies for older children, I think starbunz or genesa forge may do something, but I believe they'll be considerably more expensive.

if u email nikki at genesaforge she will be able to accomodate your needs as to the absorbancy of the nappy ...she does "nappy knickers" which are a pull up
HTH:)

I know Starbunz and Happy Heiny do pocket training pants... I wonder if you could size up and then stuff them with enough... I'm thinking that 2 greenkids bamboo inserts and a microfibre booster 'should' hold it.....

Try googling Bongo Baby or Genesa Forge - they both have pull up pockets

She is a heavy wetter. On the night's she does two wees her nappy is so full that it is often wet on the outside (but not enough to wet her bed).
We gave up on cloth nappies for her just before she turned three because they didn't seem to be able to hold the rush of wee (we did use GreenKids overnight for her). It's still a concern of mine but I'm so sick of using disposables and then her starting to get embarassed is bringing me back to looking for alternatives.
I'm also concerned that her two year old sister is going to be night trained before she will be. If my two year goes to bed for a nap with no nappy on she wakes up dry. If DD1 has a nap with no nappy on she wakes up soaking wet. Once she's asleep she just doesn't wake up. If DD2 is out of nappies altogether before DD1 is DD1 is going to be absolutely crushed and I'll pay anything for her to not be upset about her night wetting...provided it is actually going to work of course.

I might email Genesaforge....any other suggestions?

Why is Genesa Forge so hard to find? Does she have an actual website? I can't find anything doing a google search except for where she's located and then second hand nappies...no way to actually contact the company.

If you type genesa forge into google, it is the first choice that comes up. Look down the bottom of the page and it says Contact us :)

Well it looks like we'll be able to get something custom made for DD1 which is great news!

Thanks for the offer Tan...I'm going to go with getting something custom made for her so we can get a nice firm fit around her thighs and waist.

I mentioned the idea to DD1 yesterday about having special undies for bed instead of wearing nappies and her whole face lit up.
