Hi All,
I have woken to a swollen face this morning, i emailed my doc to check that it was normal (first pregnancy and i am a worry wart).. and he said my blood pressure was a little higher than normal on Monday and wants to check me first thing tomorrow morning..
Could this be signs of Pre-Eclampsia, should i be worried? i also have been getting light flickers in my vision which he said is common...
Do i have anything to worry bout bubhubbers?
:D
Could be. Definitely some symptoms of it so get it checked out. But there's no point "worrying", just be constructive and get it checked.

swelling can be symptom of PE but try not to stress - it isn't always the case....your Doctor will check you out and you can go from there....if it is PE you'll be montitored closely to make sure you and bub are healthy and happy. I had PE and delivered a healthy baby girl:thumbsup:
Let us know how you get on.:hugs:

Try not to worry too much, it will only stress you out. I had pre eclampsia and it never evened dawned on me that all these symptoms were connected - I went to hospital for something else and came out decidedly lighter  . I now have a healthy 5 mth old so don't panic - see what the doctor says but if you are really concerned is there a health centre you could go to if your doctor can't get you in today? My gp prefers appointments but will see you if you turn up without an appointment and are willing to wait... Maybe that is an option?
In any case, have a bit of a rest today and don't over do it.

Thanks guys - i havent been overly stressing about it, just concerned me cause my doc is going in early to the surgery (7.45am) just to see me, so thought he might be concerned!
My face isnt extremely swollen, just had a few comments today which got me curious..
misskittyfantastico - did you go full term with ur bub? i dont know much about pre-eclampsia, but thought peeps who had it were induced early.
Do you know of any other symptons?

I was induced 4 days early and I think anytime from 37 weeks is considered full term.
My main symtoms were HIGH BP and protein in my urine.
Hope this helps.
