how do you bath your baby?

hi i was in the shower last night and i was wondering do most people have a shower with their bubs or do you put bubs in the bath.

just pick the one you seem to do the most please.

ds1 ussually has a bath on his own but latley bath time has become a war zone lol he has had a shower with me but it kinda scared him when water went over his face

Most nights DS has a shower with DF, but if hes asleep i'll just bath him the next morning! :)

me and the girls all have a long bubble bath everday, i love it to relax and they do to.
in fact i just mention the word bath and their in the bathroom in 10 secs:smiliedance:

brodie has a bath in his baby bath one night then the next night he showers with me, we rotate if you know wat i mean

I still bath DS in his baby bath. Its part of his routine at night.

But occasionally he will have a shower with DH as a treat. He loves that!

i have started putting DD2 in the shower with DD1, she luvs the play time with big sis, if I start putting DD1 in the shower and leave DD2 out she crawls into the bathroom and tries to get in the shower herself..its so nice to sit and watch them playing together.......

I did start bathing DD #1 in a baby bath then started taking her in the shower with me, until she got so slippery one day I almost dropped her, now that they are older they showerr/bath together all the time, but I will never have a bub in the shower again after the fright it gave me when i almost dropped her. They get slippery those little suckers.

DS and I bath together mainly, followed by him solo in the bath, and occassionally, DF takes him into the shower.

Eliza has a bath in her own baby bath every night and a massage it's so she knows bedtime is coming and on the weekends she also showers with DP.

I didnt vote on the poll because we do a combination. DD usually bathes in the big bath, but sometimes she'll have a shower with me.

DD was a shower girl when she was first born but now loves the bath. She will climb in the shower full clothed given half the chance so I guess she really love water of any sort!

DS1 is given a bath or shower on his own or with us and DS2 is bathed in a baby bath in the laundry (too small for the baby bath to go in the big bath yet)

DD has been showering with me up until now. I've had to stop doing it as she has developed an allergic reaction to something lately and it may be something im using in the shower. Poor bubba. She also likes to have a bath in the laundry trough and splash water all over the washing machine and floor!

DD has a bath in the main bath with mum holding her up and washing her from the side of the bath, but with me I hop in and bath her and play (and wash...) so that it is easier on my knee, she has the occasional shower but loves bath time

DS has a shower with DP each night now that he is a bit older. He had a bath in a 'baby bath' exclusively for the first 4-5 weeks.

DD has either a bath or shower & sometimes jumps into the shower with DP or myself.

DS goes into the shower with DH each night. We only used a baby bath twice when he first came home, then DH started to take him into the shower and it is still that way. Gives me a break and they can spend some time together.

James has a bath, He hates the shower, I think its the closed space he freaks out...The water doesnt seem to bother him...
Every now and then I'll jump in the bath with him...:)

DD usually has a bath everynight in the big bath, she has since just under 6 months. before that we used the baby bath. before she could sit up, she used to lie on her back with the water line well below her face. Sometimes, she has a bath with me, last night she had a bath with DH for the first time. It was funny, he was holding her really far away, scared she would kick his nether regions:laughing:

My DD absolutely loves her showers with Daddy. She waits so patiently as he washes himself before taking her.

I guess she is beginning to understand that this is the start time of "Daddy duties" every evening (followed by lots of play and cuddles).:smiliedance:

Our DD's have a bath together, as its too hard for me to shower with them together/alone, as i have no-one here to dry/dress them while i get out. DD2 has had a bath with her big sis from about 3 months. The first 3 she fitted in the bathroom basin (5lbs born), it was so cute, but can you believe i never got a photo to remember it! :rolleyes:

Oliver has been bathed in "the big bath" with either Steven or I since he was about 6 weeks old. He very quickly grew out of the baby bath, and he just LOVES to swim/splash around in the bath! :)

We do a bit of all. DS normally has a bath at night, but will have a shower in the morning if I run out of time the night before. He'll also have a shower if he does a big stinky poo in the morning. Sometimes we shower or bathe with him. He's 21 months.
