Morning all!

I want to get my slow cooker cranking and I have pork tenderloins (or similar) but I suck at cooking pork lol!!

I was thinking of making a plum pork or similar but I can't find any nice recipes that appeal.
Anyone want to throw a few ingredient ideas around here for me??

Thanks in advance!! :)

 Hi Anna,
I have just marinated some pork for tonight's dinner. It is a new recipe (sticky chinese pork - low fat) so I haven 't had it before but I think it might be nice.

I have marinated some pork loin in 1/4 cup soy sauce, 2 tsp of sesame oil, 2 tsp of five spice powder, 2 tbsp of honey, 1 tbsp of grated ginger and a crushed clove of garlic.

I have sliced capsicum, snow peas, some bok choy and bean sprouts to go with it.

The recipe says to cook veggies first and remove. Then cook drained pork and add marinade once cooked and let bubble for 3-5 minutes until reduced and sticky and then throw the veggies back in.

Seems pretty easy and we will be having it with rice - maybe give it a go.

Ooo Cath thank you! That sounds LUSH!!

I just emailed Shane saying we'd better think of a back up plan as I think I've screwed dinner up royally lol!!

In the end I sprinkled the pork cubes with cracked black pepper, chicken seasoning (as per another recipe), garlic powder and chinese 5 spice, threw it in a casserole dish then covered it with 1 cup plum sauce and 1 cup white wine.
I'm 'slow cooking' it in the oven and while it tastes really nice it doesn't look good so I think I'll take out some of the liquid, add more plum sauce at the end, thicken with cornflour and serve with steamed carrots, asparagus & boc choy on rice.

I'll show this recipe to Shane and *may* pull out some pork cutlets and attempt it later in the week.
Thank goodness I have the kids' dinner already done - I knew they wouldn't eat this dish anyway lol!!

eta: Come to think of it - I wonder if I have time to defrost some more pork and try your recipe

eta2: Dinner is getting more tender the longer it cooks! That's a good sign, right?? :D

 It may work Anna - you never know with these things.

It is a really quick recipe which I love and the picture has toasted sesame seeds sprinkled on the top which for some reason the boys are interested in. I might even make the effort to toast some bloody sesame seeds and try serving it up to them tomorrow night for dinner and see what happens (knowing them they will eat the rice and sesame seeds and leave the rest:rolleyes:).

Good luck with it.
