No, but not because of the veggies, I just never microwave anything that I give my DD. :) The plastic packet the come in would not be BPA free so I guess it depends on where you stand on the chemical BPA leeching into babys food (you may have heard of the baby bottles concern over this...)

I would give them to DD. I have a big bag of veg in the freezer anyway for when we run out of fresh ones or I'm feeling lazy. They are so convenient!
I think for the amount of times you are going to give them to your bub (especially if it is mainly for out and about) the risk of PBA getting into your sons system from the plastic is probably pretty slim.

I do mircowave stuff for dd but only in ceramic bowls with a little plate on top I dont use plastic as it can leach out chemicals into the food.

It's cheaper to buy standard bags of frozen veg and microwave them in a bowl or steam on the stove. If you're going out then simply steam them ahead of time to take with you.

Ummmm they are BPA free, I work for one of the companies that produces the SteamFresh Veggies, we have recently changed poly (plastic) suppliers to a BPA free poly producer. :D

32Actually, I believe frozen vegetables are better than fresh - unless you pick them off your own tree/plant and eat them there and then.

Frozen vegetables are generally snap frozen so the nutrients don't degrade over time.

Food for thought :D

Also if you really wanted, you could take htem out of the plastic and steam them yourself over an open fire in a metal pot with fresh spring water. HAHAHAHA

I would. I did for a while... I had bags of them in the freezer and dried pasta... I'd just give them and a tin of tuna to DD if I was being really slack. She seemed to enjoy it.

Plastic bags do not contain BPA. Just thought you should know.

I have fed them to my DS1, till i tasted them, and IMO they dont taste great. Having said that though, Frozen vegies are the closest in nutritional value to fresh, so it is a great option to have on hand for when you need something convenient and fast, the other thing, is that a lot of restaurants will serve you a plate of vegtables etc, if you are stuck out. For my DS1 we would get sushi, when he was little we would get the plain avocado one, and scoop the filling out cos the seaweed was a bit chewy, but now he eats them with a variety of different fillings, they are a great option to consider.

Ok good I am glad they chose to do something about it, now I can use them too :)

We don't use any frozen veges, not bc I think they are nutritionally poor, but just bc DH and I don't like the taste of them. They are tasteless and soggy to me. Fresh veges just taste so much nicer imo.

Occasionally, for convenience, sure :) They are nutritionally sound and an easy serve snack.

I would, and do. Anything that makes life a little easier is good by me.

yep I do for my 10 mo DD. If the option is nuggets and chips with her brother or a packet of vege then I will pick the vege everytime.

aren't they really exspensive compared to fresh veggies?
