We are about to go on a 5 week holiday with our 4 y.o DD and our 4 month DS in a few weeks, our baby is formula fed with S26 gold this is not available in the US and to have enough formula to last 5 weeks would be around 6 tins which is a lot of room in the luggage!

Anyway I am prepared to take the formula but I would prefer to purchase it over there when needed. Has anyone used the formulas in America and can give any advice how did your child go, my DS has been on the S26 Gold for a long time and I have never changed as he seems to be doing very well on it!

Thanks for any advice

We just brought our own with us. Once we used it up then we had room in our suitcase to take home all of the shopping that we bought. :D

I am also travelling to the USA in 5 weeks with my 4 month old who is also on formula. Did any of you have problems getting the tins of formula through the US customs??

We didn't have any trouble with the cans of formula. It was a few years ago but I think that as long as they are sealed they are fine.

However, we did have trouble bringing bottles of cooled boiled water onto the plane when we left the US. They made us pour them all out. I don't know if they have relaxed on that rule since then.
