Hi Girls :wave:
I am due to start my first round of IVF at Concept Fertility Centre in two weeks... and was wondering if others who are doing IVF there could share their experiences.
I am a little nervous about starting IVF, but also excited about starting a new method of getting me closer to my dream of having a bub - hopefully!!
TIA,
BD09

HI,
Just wanted to let you know that DH & I have unexplained infertility and we went to Concept IVF in Perth, my doctor was DR Linda Wong and I got my BFP on the very first cycle.
I had a really positive experience there, very informative clinic, great support network even though they are busy.
Good luck :hugs::hugs::hugs:

Yes, Linda Wong really is incredible. Whe whole expreience was great - this clinic is much more throrought than some of the others i have been to. I now live in QLD and recently used a clinic in VIC, but their approach was nothing like Concept's. I will be flying back to Perth for my next cycle.
COncept have lots of information sheets, advise you about avoiding caffiene & alcohol as well as cosmetics and perfumes because of the chemicals etc, and they issue everyone with Folate tablets and Doxycycline which many other clinics do not do.
Also after EPU, they had a nurse sitting at my bedside waiting for me to wake up, purely there to give me support which I found really wondereful because the first thing I did when I woke up from it was burst into tears.
At ET, they made me lay down flat for 30 ins after. No other clinics do that. And they are the only clinic with no upfront fees.
Absolutely worth it hun :)

I did 18 months of ICSI at Concept under Dr Rob Mazzuchelli. We had 7 goes, all bar the last was unsuccessful and the last attempt only lasted 2 days before AF came.
They are very good at Concept. The coordinators are all really nice and easy to talk to. The embryologists are all fantastic, you can call them and talk to them anytime during the process.
It is sad though that hardly anyone in the waiting room talks to each other...over the 18 months of doing it, I think I had a lengthy conversation maybe 3 times in the entire time I was there. Everyone is going through the same thing, so it's a real shame that noone talks about it.
Also I will say that I was unhappy with their archaic ultrasound equipment...that was last year so I am hoping they have upgraded now.
I am going to give it one more shot (FET)at the beginning of next year if I dont fall naturally by then - as I have 2 fertilised eggs left.
Good luck and dont stress its all good at Concept. Halloweenmum described the procedure down to a T!
