Hi all,
I have decided that i want to get a job...hopfully fulltime..because it isnt worth it to me to do part time work.
Imm a bit worried how much its going to cost in daycare though.
I used to work in a service station before i had the boys. But i have no idea what to do now...maybe bar work...or process work...its so hard to know what to do..& how to make enough money.
Does anyone know anywhere or anyone who is hiring?
Pumpkin Patch are always looking for staff...check out their front windows usually for ads...you have retail experience, and kids....all the positives to get a job there!

i used to work at cavs steakhouse, and they are always hiring , for about 3 hours a night, wheneva,, would be good to do if hubby is home,no childcare fees,, if you go down there ask for richard and say abby told u to drop yr resume off, he is really nice.

Thanks same to you
Just a bit of advice on the childcare benefit. I recently got a letter that they have made some changes. U might want to find out how much u r entitled to. I didnt really read the letter as hubby lost his job and become a stay home dad so we dont need childcare for the time being.
Good luck. :)

Hubby said to me why dont you wait till next July...so i might stick it out for another yr.

also be aware that if you work full time you will most likely pay close to $150 a week childcare fees ,, so after tax, you are not left with much extra, if you can afford to stay home, think seriously about your options because personally i found it to not be worth running myself ragged and the bills just snowball, (depending on yr finances and what you spend of course,) with a partime job,you coud maybe earn an extra $100 a week, pay no childcare fees ,and not get docked any benifit ,and also not get bogged down with holding down a full time job + home duties on top. If you are going to wait till july next year, work towards something to generate your own income,so all the profit stays in your pocket.that way you dont have to work full time untill your business naturally progresses to that stage. Its the olny way to make real money on the gold coast.
