Just today a GP mentioned to us that my bub might be allergic to dust mites:(
I found the following info:
http://www.nationaljewish.org/healthinfo/conditions/allergy/allergens/dust-mite/reduce-exposure.aspx
Hot water wash of the bedding, frequent vacuuming, keeping your place dry and avoiding soft furnuture should help.
Good luck.

DD's main allergen is dust mites. The only thing I was able to do to reduce her eczema was to move to a house with floorboards. Be wary of vacuuming as it sends the allergens into the air which just makes it worse.

hi! Im also alergic to dustmites, and i have asthma. As a pp said i basically dust, vacuum and change bedding regularly. In regards to soap i cant use that either as i get exzma too, so i use soap free and fragrance free body washes, and moisturisers too.
I get sinuses alot, but its only gets bad at certain times of the year, when i need tablets aswell. If its not too bad i like to use a salene nasal spray so im not pumping drugs into my system too often, which i have to now anyway being pg.
Hope u feel better soon and get some help from ur doc!

very true:(
we had to get rid of our conventional vacuum cleaner when I started to suffer and now it looks like my bub has the same issues...
we invested in an expensive one but it traps dust mites and it does not send the dust back in the air:yes: I also have to vacuum mattresses and pillows every week
just finished this job in fact:)

yep, she was suffering a lot...poor thing...her skin looked angry as well:(
but I changed her mattress and cleaning like a mad woman:D and she is getting better now...
I was using a vaporiser a lot in her room lately (after the sand storm as it was dry and dusty) and I think it made her worse as dust mites thrive in moist air...
and do you feel any better?
