Weaing at 12 months

I am looking at weaning dd around 12 months from breastmilk either to SP Gold toddler or whatever its called or cows milk, she uses my booby to go to sleep still :o so i know its going to be hard but we want to start ttc and i still have got my period back yet, i really don't know where to start can any of u experienced ladies help with out please. thanks :)

i have just recently started weaning as well my dd will be 1 on the 19th all i did was tried her on formula one day and she hated it so i kept trying every day for her to take one bottle and no way hated it

my dd uses me for sleep as well so i knew it was going to be difficult so around the same time started trying to wean i also pushed the use of the dummy for sleep time more and her snuggle blanket it seems to of helped but about a week and a half ago i gave up with formula and tried some cows milk

and the rest is history she has pretty much weaned herself she loves the cows milk she just likes a little boob in the morning when she wakes and again sometimes at night after her bath

i think it was me that found it harder you defiantly realise they are growing up :( anyway good luck for the up coming adventure and happy birthday for your little one!

Hi there thanks for the reply to my post, i have tried on some cows milk mixed with water, but at this stage thats not going to replace booby feeds so i guess will keep trying she has six teeth all cutting at once so i guess that i wil prolly have to wait to this settles down as well, hopefully i can back of the day feeds then i will get pregnant and she will self wean from night feeds but thats prolly wishful thinking :laughing:

She HATES dummies so thats not a option unfortunatley ah well hopefully it will all work out some day it cant go on forever :rolleyes:
