Dd has silent reflux and I'm starting to get confused on which formula to give her, we get feed refusal on karicare ar, karicare gold gives her constipation, she refuses bellamy's. DH gets bloated and sick on cow's milk so im not sure if that's a factor. I'm so confused on what to try next! Any help would be apprecited.
How old is your baby? Changing formulas a lot can be bad too. If she has silent reflux she probably wouldn't need a thickened formula. Have you spoken to your GP or paediatrician about this? Or even you MCHN?

She's 10 weeks, each formula we've tried for two weeks and still gotten feed refusal. We're at the second week of karicare ar and the refusal is getting worse and worse. The ECN recommended trying a LF formula, but I'm not sure which one is best.
I highly recommend Karicare Lactose free. All three of my babies have been lactose intolerant and the eldest was dairy protein intolerant too. We have used Karicare LF for a long time and haven't had any problems with it. But having said that, each baby is different, and you can only try. Might be the best bet for the next step.
Have you tried different bottles/teats?
Sometimes babies are just really fussy with what goes in their mouths too, and the temperature of the milk too. All three of mine have liked it pretty warm and refuse to drink it when it goes cold:rolleyes: little fuss posts. It can be a frustrating time trying to find out what works for your little one.

She doesn't seem to mind on temp, and she doesn't like any bottles except the ones from Coles! The $9 El Cheapo bottle is the only one she'll take! No expensive tastes here. She'll guzzle down about 80ml and then continue to make hungry cues but as soon as the bottle hits her lips she hits the roof.
DH told me that Cow's Milk makes him bloated and sick, he apparently loves the taste and will drink it and then regret it after! I'm wondering if milk makes dd feel the same and that's why she'll have some and then maybe feel sick after so that's why she won't have the rest?
I'll try Karicare LF for two weeks and see how we go. Thanks for the advice :)

DS also has silent reflux, ive tried thickened feeds & get refusal.
Thickened feeds do help him but its not worth the refusal. His now on Kari HA without any complaints. Yet!
S26 also have an LF formula (both DDs have it), ive found it the best.

I might give the HA a go, then LF and then goat's milk. 2 weeks each to see how she travels.
Why can't there just be one tin that says "this is the formula for you" on it! Too many choices!

I take that back, ive worn the last two HA bottles. It seamed to come back up easier than the LF & its not as thick.
DS just had a LF feed, some came up but no where near as much as his 10am feed that was a HA.
I really wouldn't bother with the HA, it probably won't make any difference. Try to LF one and if there is still refusal Soy would probably be your best bet, but I would take her to the Dr to get checked out first. There may be some underlying problem.
Hope you find something that works soon.:fingerscrossed:
