I hear alot of story's about women who want to have an elective c-section because they are terrified of giving birth etc. And the obs will allow them to have the c-section even if there are no complications.

Just wondering does the same work for women who have had a c-section and want a vaginal birth next time. Say as an example there is nothing wrong with the baby (not distressed etc) and labour is just taking a long time (obs seem to give c-sections for this reason quite alot), do you think you could use the line that you are terrified of a c-section and they will accept that as a valid excuse?

I know my OB was very pro-VB. Not that he was overly pushy but was certainly supportive of a VB decision. I would imagine that you just need to find an OB that understands you and your fears although they still need to weigh up your safety and that of bubs.

A VBAC may have more issues around it so just ensure that you are comfortable with your OB of choice.
