I have done a LITTLE bit researching...but from what I HAVE done so far, most information I have found suggests that most hospitals will not allow a mother with a big baby have a VBAC.

Does anyone know what the "guidelines" are regarding VBAC and big babies?

DD was born at 4.67kg and therefore was quite a BIG girl. I didn't have anything wrong with me during pregnancy...she just came out big. DP was born big too (he was born 1 month early at 12lbs!). It may be a genetic thing...I dunno.

I want to VBAC next time, but I don't like what I've been reading!

I am pretty sure you will be allowed to VBAC next time. I had at nearly 4 1/2kgs too and they are happy for me to try for a VBAC with this next bub.

My obstetrician doesnt want me to birth a big baby. He says it will put too much pressure on my scar. He's very happy to give me a trial of labour, provided bubs isnt measuring too big.
