View Full Version : OMG Bleeding now.

So, at about 1am this morning i went to the toilet to find my undies soaked in blood. :( i went straight up to the emergency room and they monitored me until 8am. I went through 3 pads in 6 hours. I was sent for an u/s, but being only 5 weeks and 3 days and i have a retroverted uterus, they saw a sack but no fetal pole. My Hcg levels came back as 12500! There has only been 1 small clot, it was blood, and very little, next to nothing cramping. I am not sure how common bleeding in pregnancy is. Anyone have any hope for me? Xoxo

Did they say to do a follow up US or BT? What have you been told?:(

Firstly massive :hugs:

Secondly there are a lot of women on here who have experienced bleeding throughout pregnancy and still gone on to have healthy bubba's  Hopefully one of them will see your post soon and be able to reassure you a bit more.

Are you going back for another scan soon?

So sorry you are going through this Ains :hugs:

Hey Ains - sorry to hear this has happened - it is frightening... have you spoken to your FS? I know when I had bleeding in the early days he pretty much said rest is definitly a must and I had follow-up BT and he did U/s but I didn't have my first one until 7 weeks.

Has it stopped now? Are you on progesterone support? I had alot of bleeding from that but I also had some of my placenta come away which caused some bleeding.

Carmen, i have seen ob, he basically said that it was too early to see anything. I am on progesterone Pesseries. I am couch bound, and bleeding has slowed right down. I have very little cramping, if any. I am so constipated and have taken coloxyl. *Blush*

I have had bleeding in my last pregnancy and everything turned out okay. There are many reasons why you could bleed and not all of them mean that you will lose the baby.

Just rest up and try to relax as much as you possibly can. Maybe hire a couple of movies to try and get your mind off of it.

:fingerscrossed: Good luck. I have all of my fingers and toes crossed for you.

I had bleeding with dd didn't know I was preg till 3 1/2 months as I still had my irr period:confused:.
I was in hospital with a lady who was bleeding (alot) from 18 weeks she had bubs at 35 weeks but she was stuck in hosp the whole time.
I have heard of a few others who had bleeding dr told me it can be common at the start (thats why I may not have picked up on dd)

I had bleeding with my 1st pregnancy at 7 weeks and again for 2wks at 2owks. My baby was fine carried him til 39wks+5.

I was told it could just be 'missed' periods that could have been traped in an airpocket and when bub moved blood came away.

Hope everything is ok for you and Jimmy

I had lots of bleeding from the pessaries (bright red and some small clots).

Hun I have had bleeding with both boys ... So that solves the gender issues huh ;)

First with Boof it was like I had my period & then once I knew I was pg it was like WTF ?! I then had some spotting on & off over the next few months. They never saw anything via u/s so it was just one of those things apparently ! Either that or Boof enjoyed knowing mummy had to have extra shots due to being a negative blood group

With G I knew I was pg but nothing was confirmed because as always I dont get a BFP until over 2mths in, only had the :barf: to know what was going on ! My dating u/s which gave me 6-8wks gestation showed that I had a pocket where I was bleeding from but everything was fine with bubs !

So like Master J all was fine ....

Dont be scaring us like that little Jimmy !!!!

I had bleeding with my first boy at 7 weeks. All was fine they told me I just had to rest and if they blood started smelling to go in asap.
I had him at 37 weeks with no problems.

Hopefuly Jimmy is just finding a snuggly spot which has caused this :fingerscrossed:

Looks like its a common boy thing to have bleeding

I am another who had a big bleed while pregnant. It started very heavy - as in pouring out of me, bright red. I was sure it was over but bub was still there heart beating away. I was 6 weeks.
I continued to bleed for a few weeks - but it was only heavy for one day and then just a light to medium flow.
I am now 14 weeks and bub is doing well.
Good luck and rest up - i wish you all the best and hope Jimmy is fine. :hugs::hugs::hugs:

Hi

I am 5 weeks tomorrow and had a very large bleed with clots for 1.5 days at 4 weeks. I got a BFP with a HPT on the same day and thought I had miscarried again, the doc didn't have high hopes either. I have had 3 HCG levels done and as it turns they have been rising well. I have another blood test on Wed and then a scan on thurs to hopefully see the sac to rule out an ectopic pregnancy.

I understand how stressful it is :hugs:, I really thought it was all over. I still won't let myself believe I'm pregnant. At least your HCG levels are really high, that is a great sign.

Best of luck. Take it easy.

It sounds odd, but these things happen and do you know, i am glad it has happened to me and not someone who is older and doesnt have as many years. You know?? I am sad, detestated, angry but i can handle it. I am okay. I will get there.

You are a truly amazing woman. Make sure you don't try to be too brave, you are aloud to feel "why me?".

:hugs: to you.

I'm glad your D&C went well. It is very sucky that DH is not being more supportive :( I have been through it myself and would have been lost without my DH there to hold my hand. Maybe your DH is hurting more than he is letting on - men can be weird like that at times like this.
Take care of yourself - don't worry about anything else. Get comfy on the couch, eat chocolate, cry, have a drink - whatever you feel like doing :hugs:
Thinking of you.

I'm proud of you Ains. Get back up on the bike & try again.

Its not cold hearted of you sweet pea just the fighter in you.

My DH was not very supportive with my previous losses & it took a few arguments & discussions this time round for him to really open up about Jacob & for him to also see how I was feeling too.

I don't want to defend Josh but please know you are not alone as I've been there & as cliched as it is everyone does deal with these things differently (I'm only speaking of my experience with M here.)
