there was a thread similar to this not long ago.. anyway..
my DS (7mths) has this new thing where for no reason he will hold his breath and go EHHHHHHH, he goes bright red in the face ( kinda like hes pushing a poo) his hands shake like he's having a tantrum. its absolutly hilarious, i think he gets it from me  when im frustrated i go "AHHHHHHHHHHHHH"
but he goes bright bright red.. im thinking he might be a very angry child (oh i hope not)...
any thoughts??

LOL, It might feel good. DD used to hold her breath and when she was gasping I think she like the feel of her body shaking and gasping for air because she would be in fits of laugher(alone by the way lol)...She thinks its funny as...

Eventually she just stopped doing it..

My son does the same thing. His face goes bright red, his eyes buldge, and his little hands form fists and he starts to shake...then he starts with the Ahhhhhhh. Sometimes its so low it sounds like its hurting his throat. He does it heaps!! I have no idea where he picked it up from, he just started doing it one day. Whenever he starts doing it my hubby just says 'he's choking on his rage again'. We have no idea what it is, but figure its just something he's learned to do and hopefully he will grow out of it eventually. Its not a temper tantrum, as he's not angry when he does it and usually just goes back to normal happy Campbell straight after.

Its funny to know someone else's little one is doing it too. I thought mine was just weird :D

My DD has done the same sort of thing to varying degrees from about 8-9 months. She still does it now at 16 months! :p Sometimes if she realises I'm watching her she'll start laughing and have to stop. Then she'll start hamming it up and doing it in a joking kind of way. I just write it off as one of those weird "learning how everything works" kind of things!

He could be experimenting with noises and feelings. Jasper went through about a fortnight of squealing really high pitch from his throat. A weird "eeeeeeeeeeeeeeee"

so funny!

He stopped and moved on to more weird noises.

His current favourite is a coughing laugh noise is.

He enjoys choking noises. Loves growling. He can make some very funny noises.

Though he's started to babble 'normally' a bit more, lots more "baba"s and "dada"s and I swear sometimes he says "hi" and "yeah"

I suppose he's just starting to make noises he's heard mummy and daddy say.
