Just wondering for those using bottles how many of are using BPA FREE bottles?

We were given out bottles as a gift & didn't really know much about this. I use Avent & found i have the bottles with BPA. I'd planned on introducing DD to a sippy cup at 6 months & not using the bottle anyway. So she'll have only been drinking from these bottles for a few months.

I also don't microwave them to warm them, i just sit them in boiling water to gently warm them. I'm going to get the BPA FREE sippy cups for her though. So hopefully i've kept any exposure to a minimum for DD. I also found on the Avent web site that the dummies i give DD are actually BPA FREE :smiliedance: At least i got that bit right even if i did it unknowingly.

For those using Avent bottles, here's the link to there site. Click on BPA FREE link to right of page & it'll show another link that will show their range of BPA FREE.

I use the Avent, but the BPA free ones weren't something I was aware of when I bought bottles. But I never microwave either! It's certainly not something I'm going to worry about at this stage.

Me too

me too.

any type of warming will release the bpa - microwave or sitting in hot water. In Canada it is the law that only bpa free can go on the market.

I would like to know whether the heat from washing up water can release the bpa - if so then what are we supposed to do with toddlers and children when they need to eat of plastic plates and cups? I haven't seen bpa free childrens items.
