I make my own homemade puree's for DS, however we are moving house on monday & i have to turn my fridge /freezer off tomorrow night & have everything packed, so i wont be able to give or make DS my own food..
Ive never given him bought tins of food as i dont really agree with them, however i think im going to have to buy a few to give him over the next couple days, just until we are in the new place & i can make things again...
ANYWAY point is
does anyone know the best ones to get with the least additives etc???
thanks
BTW he will only take purees... he isnt interested in BLW for some crazy reason  dont think he has the hang of it yet.

I occasionally use the only organic ones for DS.
They seem a bit better than others i've seen.
Be warned that any with meat in them stink!!
So I'd stick to fruit and veg if I were you.
Good luck with the move:)

I use organic (less fake additives) or raffertys garden it tastes nice not like the jars:barf: get some chocolate pudding /custard for you:yes:
i second that, DEFINITELY raffertys garden! And they come in little pouches, you dont even need a spoon you can just squeeze it straight in their mouth!

:iagree:Yuk, I tried a meat pasta food in a jar on DD. She rejected it and I don't blame it cause it stunk. Even the dog wouldn't eat it.
I give DD homemade food as well but I keeps jars of commercial baby food handy for when we take DD to hospital, which is a full day out as the hospital is 3 hours drive away.

Definately Rafferty's Garden!
And I will admit to feeding my DS some of the Rafferty's Garden stuff that does have meat in it - the mini meatballs etc. I have tasted them, they actually aren't too bad... compared to some of the stuff that I have accidentally cooked for DS and he's eaten  :barf:

funny, my DD wouldn't eat the Rafferty's Garden ones  Mind you she won't eat the Heinz vegie ones either, regular or organic. I have generally always given her home made purees though, so maybe going back to jar stuff wouldn't be as nice... She does however LOVE the fruit ones!!  The only vegie one she would 'sometimes' entertain is the chicken and corn one (Heinz). Even then she would be pretty fussy... Goodluck with it :goodvibes:
I found it interesting that Rafferty's garden vege puree pouches are all natural ingredients but contain about 70% apple and 30% vegetable. Ds thinks he is in for a real treat if he gets one of those for dinner :D.
I haven't used the ones with meat in them but like what the other ladies say I've been told the choc custard is yummy.

My DD2 isn't on purees, but we tried Rafferty's Garden for the first time the other day and it was nice. Only Organic are good too.
The other ones that are great are in the yoghurt section of the supermarket fridge. Sorry, I can't remember the name right now, but last time I bought them they were similar to what I would make myself. (although that might not work if you don't have a fridge for a few days!)
mrs potts I think you may be thinking of 'baby boosts'. They are great, I use them to bulk Noahs food out as he is such a piggy I sometimes find it hard to keep up :D. They contain no nasties at all, but do need to be refrigerated, they are a bit thicker than the raffertys garden ones too. They make a chicken hotpot one which is REALLY yummy, but its chunky so not suitable for younger bubs. I always have a couple sitting there for emergency's! Again, they are quite expensive though, but WAY better than the jars!
Rafferty's and Ella's Organics taste nice and the squishy packets are fun. Esme is so keen on the method of administration that if she's being fussy I refill the packet with homemade and let her squeeze it herself. She hates spoons! There's one with mango and something that's ridiculously sweet, though, and the pear/pea/broccoli is just a bit odd, but Esme loves it.
The easiest on the go food I find is a very ripe avacado or banana, as you can mash it as you go.
yeh avo and banana are great! I always carry either with me if we go out, for a snack as you just scrape it straight from the fruit!

oh i wish i could give hunter avocados (as they are so high in fat & he needs to gain weight) but they give him bad tummy aches & banana makes his reflux alot worse :(
the only things he can have so far that agree with him are apple, pear, pumpkin & sweet potato. even normal potatos make him :barf:
