Hi to whoever wanted to read this.:thumbsup:
Just joined up today and can't wait to get to know any other mums out there that need a chat or want to swap baby advice etc. I have two daughters, Zoe Makaira (07/04/2003) and Kaitlyn Alyssa (29/09/2005), would love to have another shot at a little boy, but am waiting a couple of years.
I am a stay at home mum and thought joining up to chat with other mums would be a great way to waste away my free hours in the morning and afternoon when the little one takes a nap!!!!! :ecomcity:
So feel free to drop me a line....:smiliedance:

Hey all I had Ava 29th November 2008 and am struggling to get her to sleep between feeds at night. During the day she zonks right out, I actually have trouble getting her awake for the afternoon feeds, but at night she just screams between feeds like someone is killing her. There's this screaming and then theres the wind pain. She gets infacol which helps also warm already boiled water. I've been told she's confused her days with nights but I wasnt sure if they had any concept of days and nights, I know that I'm supposed to teach her that and am wondering how I managed to teach it to her backwards. She's breastfed and attaches properly. I myself had night terrors as a baby and wondered if this could be the prelim to that. She seems to be scared of the dark had to give a nightlight and now she stares horrified at the shadows. Exhausted with partner overseas and staying with Mum and her new husband which as you can imagine is not going down well at all I would appreciate all opinions and criticism. Thanks xo
Hello! You poor thing, are you ok?? Sleep deprivation is the worst and especially if you are not in your own home, that would be terribly. Is Ava your first baby or does she have siblings??
My doc suggested to me to help align day and night was to make sure that when baby sleeps during the day that the blinds are open and there is noise, and at night time feed with minimal light and no noise. I followed this and I feed in her room at night with only the hall way light on. This has seemed to work. My second daughter was born on the 3rd Dec, so not much difference between Ava and her.
Also, staying at your mums would be hard work. My husband is also away. How ever he is not OS, but he works 8 days away and 6 home. I find this a huge struggle some days, but being in my own home makes me feel that I can make my own mistakes without everyone watching. My family give me plenty of support, but when I call on it. Gives me a small sense of being in control.
All I can do is share my experience with you, but I really hope that your baby starts giving you some rest. Your post sounded like you were having a very bad day!! We all have these too! I had a shocker yesterday, but today so far so good!!!
Good luck and please chat further anytime. With hubby away I check in daily!
Good luck:fingerscrossed::fingerscrossed::fingerscrosse d:
