When your bub was born did your ex even try to see his baby?
or do most fathers that leave never return to see thier baby and never have a clue on what they look like or if they are healthy/happy??

my ex didnt try at all to see my dd. I had to take her to see him so i could get the birth cert signed. Even now its hard to get him to see her. I dont make any effort anymore, If he wants to see Bailey he can call me and come here to see her as he lives an hour away.
Not all fathers are the same. You'll find he might change once your baby is born but dont rely on it you need to be strong for your bubba.

I guess each situation is different. My ex sees his daughter once a week and has her every second weekend. It took time for him to miss her and want to see her. Don't expect anything just wait and see it is up to him to make the effort.

Every person will be very different... i know some guys that fight very hard for custody or shared custody, others that dont give two hoots...

Its all up to the type of person they are really.

my ex has never seen his dd, i send him pictures every month...

he is apprently comming to see her at christmas time... only time will tell

My Partner definately wanted to see our Girl but I still was not impressed as he was non emotional - he was in detached Doctor mode ... typical Aquarian :banghead: !

I agree it depends on what kind of a man your ex is.

When my DP and I were seperated (yes we are back together but we were apart for 4 years) he would call twice a week and visit as often as he could or pay the airfare for my daughter and I to fly to him.
We kept our issues as our issues and I didnt let it effect my DD relationship with her dad.
Although he was good at keeping in contact...he sucked at paying child support or anything. I did it on my own with a once in a blue moon $100 from him, which was hard.
So good at one thing hopeless at another.....
Cant win em all I guess.

he may come around my x kept making excuses the first few weeks y he couldnt come over to see her he was busy doing what he had to do to be exact but slowly he has started seeing her once a week sometimes twice. so hopefully he'll come around otherwise its him that misses out.
